2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

For the people experiencing sway in the trucks, do you have the 4x4 off road package? I don’t feel the sway at all and am wondering if that could be why? I have the off road package.
There is no sway with my ORP, and I drive through a curvy, narrow canyon on most days. I was thinking of upgrading to Bilstein 6112s when they became available, but I am not sure if I have a good reason to.

FYI to you all, you can go to mopar.com, create an account to see all about your truck and download your manual which is usually 436 pages long. I just took the downloaded pdf, did some formatting to it and uploaded it to Lulu.com to get it printed out into a booklet 5X8.5 landscape that cost $25 total. Here is the custom book cover. Now I have something to read on the john...

Thanks for this - great idea. Major savings!

What do you think of the Forged Blue??

You can also call Ram/Mopar at 1-800-399-2668 and ask them to send you your owners manual for free. What's nice about making the account at Mopar.com is there is also a bunch of vids on how to opperate differnt things on your truck. They helped me out with a couple of things.

So, they charge $50 to order it, but they’ll send you one for free 🤯

Exactly. I tried to order one that way but i kept getting stuck on one of the pages and couldn't complete my order. So i called them and not only did they send me an owners manual for free they also sent me one for the radio. I did the same thing when i got my 19 Limited and got that one for free also.

Can anyone with a 2025 Laramie with Advanced Safety Group confirm that they have removed the head and tail light animations and that 2025 models no longer have the automated parking feature my 2023 level 1 has? Any other decontenting I should be prepared for going from a 23 to a 25 other than the incandescent front turn signals and tail lights?

I don’t have a laramie, so I can’t answer but I’m curious. What animations are you talking about?

When I was reviewing my order with the dealer and looking at packages he said that one of the features in the advanced safety package ( I think) was head and tail light animations when you lock/unlock. Basically the lights go through a series of displays kind of like Christmas lights. I don't personally really mind but it is a bit of a rude surprise for many to find out when their truck arrives that a feature they thought was included or is on the window sticker is not actually present. I've learned from this forum and doing a few orders that it is important to do a lot of research onto the exact options avail by trim and at time of order - as an example when I traded in a 21 for my 23 Laramie I lost fender flares, reclining back seats chrome door handle inserts, bright door sill pads and 4-way lumbar (23 has 2-way) and when we bought our 22 pacifica we couldn't get power folding mirrors. In the case of the pacifica it was a parts supply issue and the window sticker showed a credit for the loss of the feature from the MSRP. For the 23 Laramie there was no credit because they had intentionally removed features either as cost cutting or acknowledging long term parts supplies I would guess.

If it’s on the sticker, but not present, I’d think they have to compensate you, don’t they?

my 2025 rebel has front and rear light animation as a option but they just blink. ram limited has real light animation. I wonder if you don't have that option do your lights not blink at all.

Question for any of you with the passenger screen, I’m trying to get an iPhone or a computer to hook up to it. No matter what device I plug in it won’t recognize the cable. The screen just says to insert an hdmi cable.

I have used 2 different cables with 3 different devices, 2 iPhones and a MacBook. Is there a chance the plug is DOA?

Tempting, however, given the fact dealers have not installed one so far, and it has to be programmed by the dealer, saving few bucks does not make sense to me.
There are 10+ wires that have to be pinned in to the proper connector.
My issue is with RAM's **** poor design, taking a simple plug and play and turn it in to a potential mess.
As an X engineer, I cannot believe that any mass produced product going down the assembly line requires these many steps to install a trailer brake controller!!

To me , and I hope that I am right, this a stop gap measure for now until RAM figures this out.

I am all good with the new engine, etc. etc. etc. -- **** like this makes me (fruitlessly) question my decision to buy a 25.
@RamCares
AZZX, I see you are in central AZ, I am down in SE AZ. My 2025 Rebel X, is on its way to the dealer, I hope to pick it up within a week or so. Question, I have read about LSPI, low speed pre-ignition could be an issue on this SO engine. Have you had any knocking, cold start issues? Some are running premium fuel to avoid this issue. Also, I read where an oil made in Germany called Liqui Moly also helps. I am trading in my 3500 Ram on this as my first gas truck. I will be driving 1200 miles to pick it up at Lake Charles, LA. What kind of break in did you do for this new truck? Also, one other question, is the rear floor flat? I am a combat wounded veteran and have a service animal that doesn't leave my side. Will she be on a flat floor or a hump? Thanks

I am at 6500 miles, No CEL, knocking, LSPI, or other abnormal issues so far. Only once had a shaky / stumbling cold start. It did not throw any lights.
I had many rough starts with my Hemi in temps around freezing.
I only use 91 octane (the highest grade in AZ).
I use the RAM-recommended procedure for break-in and then take it easy for 800 miles or so. ""BTW there are many philosophies about breaking in any engine, I go with what the engineers that designed the engine say""
Yes - the rear floor is flat. Lift the rear seat cushion, she will have a lot of room

I'm at 7,200 miles and no CEL's. I have been using straight 93 but one of these days I'm going to try going down to 89.

In case it might help, here's what the fine manual says:
"A long break-in period is not required for the engine and drivetrain (transmission and axle) in your vehicle. Drive moderately during the first 300 miles (500 km). After the initial 60 miles (100 km), speeds up to 50 or 55 mph (80 or 90 km/h) are desirable.
While cruising, brief full-throttle acceleration within the limits of local traffic laws contributes to a good breakin. Wide-open throttle acceleration in low gear can be detrimental and should be avoided."
