Hi Alex,
Thanks for you replied.
I took my truck to the dealer and they told me they don't have a parts to replace the brake pads etc... They sent me home with the truck still making loud noise. They told me to contact me whenever they have the parts to replace.
Most of other people would have the same problems like I do but it's really bad that Chrysler don't even keep up with the parts to replace for customers and they don't even recall or noticed to customer about the issues... Only to let customers find out and then take it to the dealer but still no result and wasting a lot of time for customers go back and forward.
I was told the same thing by my service department, in fact when they called me they said they had to order the parts and would let me know when they arrived, however when I picked the truck up that day I noticed that on the work order it said "could not duplicate" and nothing about ordering parts was mentioned. I'm going to give it another week and if I don't hear from them I'm going to call and ask what the deal is. The brakes are only getting louder and louder.

Hi TTE and SemperGumby,
Please send us a private message with your VIN and I would be happy to get you both connected with a case specialist to assist in working with your dealers!

Bought my Laramie Longhorn on Sunday 5/26, and had the brake squealing issue. Unfortunately, my dealership in Maryland was not aware of this issue before so had to deal with them saying nothing was wrong with the truck and they couldn’t replicate it. I got 5 miles down the road, and sure enough, SQQQQUUEEEEEAAALLLLLLL.

I came right back to the dealership, got in touch with @RamCares through this forum, and I’m here at the dealership now with both TSB for front and rear brakes being completed on the truck. Case in point, make sure to reach out to RamCares for help to get a case manager assigned and let the dealer know they need to look up the TSB for brakes on the 2019 RAMs. Will post anything I get from the report as well.

All in all, while it sucks to have your 1-week old truck in the shop for 3-days, RAM is taking care of the issue.

Well after my last visit I'm happy to report that no squealing after 1500+ miles from a road trip down to Florida. The last time it was in the shop they replaced one front rotor, refinished the other one, and performed the rear brake TSB. I don't know which end was squealing, but (knock on wood) it has been silent ever since.

Now I'm trying to decide if it's worth taking it in to have them look into the wind noise issue that I experienced on the interstate when dealing with strong crosswinds. I think there's a TSB about misaligned front doors or something. smh

Happy to report that after the dealer replaced all 4 corners of brakes, I have no squealing for at least 600 miles driven.

Scheduled the appointment 2 weeks ago after being told they needed that much time for the parts to be delivered. Dropped the truck off today after being told by the dealership and FCA that the parts would be available, 9 hours later I stop by and they said they did the recall but didn't know anything about the brakes, this is after FCA called me to say the parts were still on backorder after I had dropped it off.

Advisor went to talk to the parts department and said they have no ETA at all but are sure they'll call me when they come in.

All this over a single piece out of all the parts on the TSB list.

I bought my 2019 Laramie in October 2018 and the brakes have been squealing ever since. It has been to the dealer six times and they cant seem to fix. The last time, they tried to tell me its normal and nothing they can do. I own a business and only lease Chrysler vehicles for my sales team but that's going to change.

Did you bring them the TSB about the brake squealing? (I know, you shouldn't have to, but in the interest of solving the issue, sometimes it helps to help them) It's here on the forums in the TSB / Recalls section.

So rear brake TSB done yesterday, it was pouring rain when I took her home and I thought I hear squealing. Took her out today and definitely heard loud squealing when light braking from between 50 and 60, had my wife hang her head out the window and she thinks it's coming from the front now. Anyone know of any TSBs (I didn't see any in the section) for front brake issues?

My case with @RamCares is still open, looks like I'll be talking to them Monday.

How is this a thing still?

I started a case with ram cares

They contacted the dealer

Dealer ordered parts : brakes and calipers

Replaced

Quiet for 5500 miles

I think it’s been answered 10 times on here already by various people. If your dealer is “sh*t” go to another dealer but make sure ram cares is aware.....

My LL goes into the shop tomorrow. Same brake squeal. It’s been replicated and the STAR case has authorized the repair. All pets finally came in last week (took about a month).

I’ll let you know if there is any improvement. I hope your time goes a little better once everything is taken care of.

Amen to this. Did a visit to my local RAM dealership and they performed all the work according to the TSB a few months ago. The only squeaking I get is if I do a deep cleaning of the wheels and moisture is present and it lasts only a couple brake pedal pushes. Which is normal in all of the family prior vehicles.

Took the truck to the dealer Thursday for the ubiquitous brake squeal and got it back today. They replaced front brake pads and said it should be good to go. No squealing on the drive home, hope it stays that way.

Where would I go to read STAR code information?

Thanks for the update. I had the brake squeal and howl warranty repairs about 3 months ago per the recent TSB guidelines and an annoying squeak is now back after another 2k miles. I stopped by yesterday to my dealer service center on the way home from work just to alert them of the problem and I suspect I'll need to bring it back in once again. I'll give it a few days to figure out where the sound is coming from. I think I am up to now 7 warranty service visits if this persists. We are the guinea pigs with this new model, lol

I had the above 45 brake squeak under light to moderate braking around 2,000 miles I believe. At about 2500 miles, I took the truck down a couple side streets and terrorized a quiet neighborhood bedding in the brakes by doing 40mph-5mph threshold "stops" until I felt the pedal start to fade. Then I drove around touching the brakes as little as possible to let them cool. Haven't heard a single squeak since. I do not recommend terrorizing a neighborhood, it's just that is where I could find some decently straight clear roads with nobody on them. Use your judgement when finding a spot to bed the pads in.

Oh, and I'm at 18,000 miles now.

My squeal came back after an emergency stomp on the brakes when a $%$&&# cut me off. Since that time, it's also developed the moaning sound when backing up out of my driveway in the morning. I'm pretty sure it's the rear brakes and what the TSB addresses. I went back and looked at my last service receipt and it does not appear they applied that TSB, so hopefully they can do it the next time I take it in for an oil change. I've started a list for that visit (strange wind noise from passenger's side, clunking downshifts from 4th to 3rd, early detonation on some start ups, etc). I hate having all of these issues as I really love this truck, but it has had so many more issues than my 2010 I am starting to regret buying a first year as well.

strange wind noise from passenger's side
Are you sure this noise is not associated with the A/C system? It comes on in long trips every so often and at first I thought it was wind noise when in fact its pumping warm humid air through the passenger side vent. I also have the squeal and moan every so often and I plan bringing mine back in.

You may be right about the rushing air through the vent. I'll have to ask my passenger to put their hand out against that vent the next time I hear it. I also noticed it happens more often on long trips, but I was thinking wind noise because of cross-winds on the interstate. I'll dig through the other threads and see if I see anyone else reporting it.

Check out this thread and it may help you identify if this is what you are experiencing: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/a-c-wind-noise.12819/

So here we are again, its winter in Ohio and one year since I had the rear brake groan/squeal addressed by the dealer. All seemed to be well until wet, cold weather returned. Groan/squeal is back. I'll be making another appointment with the dealer to re-address what they "fixed" last winter.
