My truck somewhat sounds like this. I hear the noise mostly on my drivers side and it seems to quiet down after the engine has warmed up. But my truck has always sounded this way and I'm pushing 47k miles.
What I have noticed is that if I use 87 gas its louder. Using 89 and it's much quieter...
I too have Borla S type, no drone. It is loud when you're heavy on the throttle but does get quiet once you're cruising. I spend most of my highway driving at 80mph and this puts me just under 2000rpm with 35" tires and still have no drone.
I know someone with a Carven exhaust and while it...
0-60 times depend more on traction, curb weight, how many shifts you need to reach 60, etc. Also a better way to think of the gear ratio difference is HP to the wheel vs torque to the wheel. Both have the same engines, but applied wheel torque and horsepower will be different for each gear...
I went with the Borla S type catback as I planned to do it myself. I have a buddy that installed an Borla S type muffler only on a Tahoe and while it sounded OK it was very quiet. About as loud as my stock exhaust was on my truck. Clearly different vehicles, etc. But I didn't want it to become a...
Yeah I have a few dings in my back doors and one on above my rear driver side tire. Happened with relatively light taps too, pretty disappointing.
I recently did some some offroading and got fairly stuck in a mudhole. Took a lot of back and forth gunning in 4lo to get out. Turns out there were...
I've had a fuel filter fail on a 94 Chevy with over 250k miles. Pulling the pump out it seemed full of junk, as if years of tank sediment was sucked in and restricted the pump itself. Truck was probably 23 years old at the time.
So I think in most cases when fuel tanks run low and soon after a...
You have the GT exhaust? I've looked under a few at a dealership but can't remember seeing a front resonator, but did see the rear ones. Is the resonator kit to replace those rear ones?
From what I can tell listening to the GT exhaust has the same tone as the Borla S type, so deleting those...
Came with no front resonator. Been a while since I had my stock exhaust but I do think I had the small resonators before each tail pipe/tip. So once I installed the Borla I just had Cat Y and Borla left.
The mid pipe resonator is between your Cats and the start of the muffler string that most cat-backs seem to replace. Some Rams didn't come with it for some reason. Mine didn't, so I just have a 3 foot section of straight pipe in between the Cat Y pipe and the start of my muffler pipe. Borla...
I have the S type and was only able to hear both the S type and Atak in person once I already had mine installed. But the Atak isn't honestly louder than the S type. They're both about equivalent, with the S type just being a deeper more consistent tone.
The Atak is a lot more raspy and poppy...
One thing I've noticed is that between 30 to 40mph I have my loudest tire hum. It's almost like a resonant hum of the truck itself and not strictly a tire hum. Open window driving at these speeds and it's not as bad, though it's hard to tell if it's due to wind noise added in or less pressure in...
I have Yokohama Geolandar MT"s and they're probably one of the better tires I've had in the rain. Compared to other AT's or MT's that is. I've had Toyo RT's that felt like skis in the rain. And previously had ridge grapplers that were good in the rain but still seemed to get squirrely at times...
+1 setup you should be able to run 12.5 wides. I have stock wheels which I believe are +19 or something. And 295/65r20. So they come out to a little taller than a x35 tire and 12" wide. No rub for me with a 2.5" front leveling spacer.
Does it happen relative to turning? In the video it seems like it came up when you were letting off throttle and starting to brake, but also turning slightly to the right. So low speed but right turning. It stopped when you were still low speed then moving the steering back to center then left...
