I agree. I'm not happy about it but both dealers I have talked to said there's nothing they can do because the part number matches on the muffler. Even though they both have agreed it does not sound right. So it sounds like I'm SOL on having a decent sounding truck unless I go aftermarket. The part number is saying it's a GT exhaust, but the sound would say otherwise in my opinion.

I also wanted to post this video. Sorry it's short and not a great clip but I wasn't ready to record when he revved it. But you can still here a couple.

Is this all the GT has for sound?

Sounds like non G/T to me.
I'm with you. I hope I can get this resolved because the exhaust was a big part of getting the GT package. Why would they only change one resonator on the GT? Is all the sound only coming from the driver side for some reason?

Check both resonators, but the drivers side come with the muffler assembly.

What does the C-9396 number mean? Is that a serial number? The one on mine says C-9367.

Mine has the F or E AUR and the 10832H correctly but the C number is different.

Sorry for being a nub but is what's happening here is that you are being told that you have something you are pretty sure you don't actually have (i.e. the G/T exhaust)?

On page 4, two others have posted stock non G/T exhaust muffler with C-9313M embossed on it. I have mine in my attic at home, I'll check and see what it has on it this eve when I get there.
As far as what the numbers mean, I have no idea.

You are correct. I posted a few videos above of what my exhaust sounds like and it's suspiciously quiet. Sounds just like a factory exhaust would. I have the GT package but the exhaust does not sound like what it should. I'm not expecting a TRX type sound, I just expected a noticeable difference from factory. Ram is making it very difficult to discern GT from factory because the mufflers are the exact same size and shape. So the only thing telling them apart is a part number.

My dealer says these are the two possible part numbers:

NEA Muffler (What I supposedly have)
68517364AA

Regular Muffler
68268201AL

Just get them to give you money so you buy you a better sounding catback than what’s supposed to come with the gt anyway ;)

Right? I'd love to throw a Borla cat back on it and call it a day. If they even offered to go 50/50 I'd forget this ever happened 😂

Yeah not a great situation but I'm hoping to get it resolved. Maybe my muffler will "magically" get damaged somehow and I'll need a warranty replacement and it will show up correct 😂
