Somewhere on this forum ,a member said when in tight parking spot the raise theirs all the way up and put the running boards out, to help with door dings. Since mine is still in shipping I wouldn't know if it works or not. Does this one look lower or raised?

It looks to be in aero mode but definitely not in OR2.
It does work and I saw that post; I now do it too when I have no choice and park near others.

BTW, this is OR2 height, you can see the difference in the 2 pics

I have a set in my garage ready to install and dont like the idea of drilling holes in the pinch welds for the AMP lights.
What lights did you order? Waterproof I assume?

I ordered these OPT7 2pc 60" Side Kick Running Board LED Strips w/Amber Turn Signal, DRL, and White Courtesy Lights https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D535PH...abc_A4FT29S5RXBR0P8DXV5K?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 . I’ve used them before on other vehicles for running board lights. I don’t use the amber led part though, just the white courtesy LED part. Never had a problem with weather or with them staying adhered to the truck. Just make sure to clean and rub with alcohol before sticking them on. Drilling through the pinch weld is a chore, I always break 2-3 drill bits. I touch the drilled holes up with rust proof paint.

I added those
Added these to the doors to go along with the Faital Pro dash speakers I did a few months ago. I still need to adjust the settings more but it is a definite improvement. Base 6 speaker system without ANC.

(y) I added those 6930s to my front doors, base system sounded soooo much better. Until I blew out my dash speakers . Ordered some KSC350s for the dash, they arrived yesterday so by the weekend I should have those in

I’d love to do that, but the closest one to me is 56 miles away, which equals 1hr and 26mins away without any traffic. That’s not really feasible. I am thinking about returning the bluedef platinum I have and just using walmart or tractor supply def.
I would. We use a lot of DEF at work and we have used multiple brands. They all seem to work just fine. I travel a lot from San Antonio to the DFW area so its easy for me to fine DEF at the pump.

The thing that made me buy it in the first place was the well-known member on the ecodiesel forums that ran regular bluedef for roughly 20k, cleaned his def injector, then used 100% platinum for 30k. When he pulled the injector, there was no crystallization. That’s a great result, but I’m not sure if it really matters.

Mind posting a link to that forum? (Unless it's just the ecodiesel subforum here.)
Thanks.

Always preferred Rhino over any of the others, looks and feels more supple and protects very well, nice job if you did it yourself, or whoever did it did it well.

Definitely wasn’t me lol, had a local shop owner here in NC take care of it for me.

How long did that take you for the RC grill lights?
Too long, but if I did it again, I would say 2-3 hours. I spent well over an hour on each side removing the upper bumper covers and figured out the "trick", so if you or anyone ever does this install, PM me or call me @ 225-235-8152 and I can talk you through that, I didn't take a photo of it and wish I did, but I could facetime with you and guide you to it easily. The other time-consuming thing is all the pop-clips when taking the 3pc grill apart and cutting of the inside grill to fit the lights. I used a Dremel with a titanium cutting bit, and that wasn't a really good tool for that job, in hindsight, I should have just used that as a starter slot tool and used a reciprocating saw for the straight cuts and cut from the outside versus the inside of the grill and Dremel around the corners. I also took off both front wheels to allow for extra room in the wheel wells and did an oil and filter change at the same time.

Agreed. I like the softer, non-sandpaper feel better too. When my dad and I rebuilt by jeep in 2007, we had the inside and underneath of the tub and fenders rhino'd. Best decision we made. Still holding up strong (not driven in the winter salt though).

I run a Ford Diesel for work and have had a lot of DEF system issues. The Platinum Blue DEF does work better. I would 100% buy it for my personal vehicle if I had a diesel.

Today I removed my Westin R7 steps and replaced them with the 2021+ Ram Off-Road Steps which are hard to find. Got a good deal and didn't want to pass it up. I like how these match the pattern on the bumper steps as well. I really like these. I gained 2" from ground to bottom of steps and the top of the step is 1.5" higher then before so I have a bigger step up to make now haha and I can tell the difference.

There are 2 things that have come to play once I got these one. They are more tucked up and tighter to the body therefore when getting in with steel toe boots I can hit the truck and think side stepping is better. The other thing is, I installed step lights prior with my old steps and they were in a good location. These RAM steps mount higher up to the body and forward of my lights so now my lights are behind hidden away. I'm gonna see what it looks like when it get darker if it's not good then I'm going to order new longer lights and either mount on the steps facing completely outward (blue in pictures) or on the body pointing at an angle to the steps (yellow in picture) . What do you think? Which way would be better?

Overall I really like these steps despite the fact they do allow me to hit truck easier with steel toe boots. I like the fact they make the truck appear higher and I also really like that the gap is gone between body and steps.

Different locations for lights.

I got one of those Course MS magnetic phone mounts. Not too bad. The steel plates that stick to the phone are garbage, though. The larger rectangle one literally split in 2 pieces. They are like two super thin pieces of metal connected together somehow. Poor quality.

I had to use the small circle one.

But, it works. I am going to find some better plates somewhere.

Waited 3 hours for an alignment, oil change, and state inspection today. While I was at the dealership, heard a 1500 GT idle and accelerate, and it had the perfect exhaust note. I’m sure there’s something on here about it, but I would like to know what it would cost to swap my factory exhaust system with the stock GT one.
