8.4" to 12.1" screen replacement

I really appreciate everyone with help. Everything seems to be working except my backup camera is just blue.. any body know what could be happening?

After looking into it further the screen isn’t recognizing the truck going into reverse, so my backup camera doesn’t even come up when I’m in reverse

Basically all of us are BH and Laramie owners.........

So far I've seen 2019-2020 Rams and based on that there are different radio modules than for 2021, just want to make sure that I spend $900 instead $600 or $500 for something I can not return or exchange.

Back up camera still blue.. when I put it in reverse it doesn’t even come up I have to go in through the app to pull it up. Any suggestions on what to try?

I'd say it's not plugged right... make sure all the connections in the back are good...

Unplugged my battery and seeing if that helps.. next step will be to check the connections, everything else works.. any idea which wire is the camera connection?

I can't remember the color but it's one of the individual plugs... It's not part of a set of wires...

Back at it again today trying to figure out the blue screen on the backup camera.. went back into alfa and tried activating and deactivating again. Pulled fuse f44 and put it back and hoping everything comes through.

Pulled my BCM if anyone sees anything wrong

So I have a 2021 Rebel with 8.4 non nav. I purchased everything and got everything hooked up. Everything worked except my backup camera which wouldn’t come on if I put it in reverse, the only way I could pull it up is manually through the app screen and when I would get it on it would just be blue. It turns out there is different modules for 19-20 and 21s. I purchased 68317978AL which is for 19-20s. The correct part is 68472372AE if you have a 21. Hope this helps anyone in the future if they do this and not make the same mistake I did.

if I do the mod I would need it for 2021. But buying everything separately is costly. Would prefer to buy the complete system from someone.

Also, need to review the forum for programming options. Any suggestions?

Do you mean the part that goes behind the screen and provides most of the functionality? If yes, that's the "Radio. MULTI Media." 68472372AE part...from what I've read, 2021's require that one.

Okay thanks. Yea it's pricey for sure lol. I'm trying to find one at a decent price. I might have to wait until prices come down some since they are new. Would be nice to just get the complete system from someone but the 2021 module is harder come by at this time it seems. Good luck installing your system. Let us know if everything worked out.
