Painted my front tow hooks, can't decide if I like them or not. I also got a nice tow hook for the rear.
I like it. Seems like the Chevys and GMCs have them around here. I bought and installed the black front tow hooks. I was thinking of painting them too, but they have a coating on them. Were yours coated? What did you use? Regular red spray paint? Plasti-Dip?
Also, got a link for the rear tow hook?

Took a stab at making some 30” light bar brackets. Used a cheap-0 Amazon bar for fitment before fully committing. Brackets turned out great and are 100% bolt on. Time to find a new lower light bar!

I did a "side by side" comparison in regards to AC performance with and without the PEX ball valve hack.

Pic 1: Max AC, operating temp at idle, outside temp 92 degrees, recirculation engaged, ball valve closed.
Pic 2: Max AC, operating temp at idle, outside temp 92 degrees, recirculation NOT engaged, ball valve closed.
Pic 3: Max AC, operation temp at idle, outside temp 85 degrees, recirculation engaged, ball valve open.
Pic 4: Max AC, operating temp at idle, outside temp 85 degrees, recirculation NOT engaged, ball valve open.

So, it seems to me that the difference is DEFINATELY in whether you have the recirculation engaged, or not. As you can see, I got about a 6 degree difference with the ball valve closed and with the recirculation engaged. Not really sure if that really makes a difference, to some people, in the long run. But, it does feel cooler.

I did a ton of research on pretty much all hitch carriers out in the market a month before my trip. I ended up with the mototote cause they had the best quality. Price wasn't really a factor for me since what ever I was putting on it would be worth having the extra piece of mind. They had a ton of videos on YouTube how to load the bike which is easy with one person since the front wheel chock holds the bike up. Granted it never hurts to have an extra person(Kids or wife) to hold the bike up while you are strapping it down. A hitch carrier was a must for me since I did not want to put my track day items and gear exposed over night when I'm trying to get some sleep. Im starting to sound like a spoke person for mototote but I'm just that happy with the way that carrier performed during my 3200 mile round trip. Now I just leave it on there since you can fully open the gate with out hitting the front chock.
All good things to hear, since I have, more or less, the same pickup truck as you!

Took the Ram on a wood cutting trip up in the mountains about 1 hour from the house. Great day!

I like how your photo sequence tells the story.
My chainsaw has a shorter bar for around the house cuts, but I've taken down a few trees before. Nothing of the diameter you cut there. My question is, how do you keep the chain sharp? With as many cuts as it took to fill the bed of your truck, my chain would've been DULL!

Hey we are twinkies!! haha My truck looks almost identical apart of the front chrome grill that is black on mine and the hood emblems I painted them to match the truck. :D

I like the look of the all black grill. I still have the chrome hooks and handles, but everything has been changed to black now. Looks great to me.
Twinkie means something else where I'm from...
