Key Fobs and LED interference

May I ask what trim level you have? Based upon the issue described I’m assuming a Laramie?

I have a 19 Bighorn

My cargo lights stay on even after closing the door. I don’t have bed lights either. Out of curiosity, when you open the tailgate do your cargo lights come on? I enabled it with AlfaOBD since the factory doesn’t, maybe that’s why they stay on. But I had no issues with my ‘20 which was set up the same.

They come on with the tailgate open and will stay on unless I go into the truck and turn them off. They also come on when I unlock it

I haven't really looked for it yet. I figure I can source the light and then add the mirror later on as availability increases.

375 for an led light isn't interesting enough for me to spend that. Depending on the mirror cost I'm down for adding that in if I can get everything for less than 1000

You can get them both for under $1000.

I sent them a message asking if they have heard of any issues specifically with 2021 Laramies. I can’t quite justify $500 for the LED cargo light yet.

2020 big horn level 2. Do not have passive entry. Lasfit cargo lights only. Stock 3rd brake light. No problems. Had them for about 3 months. They come on when I unlock doors with fob. (Looking for some wood to knock on).

I received a response from diode. They told me they have not heard of any types of issues with 2021 laramies with their 3rd brake or cargo light bulbs.

I went ahead and ordered a pair of the cargo lights and a 3rd brake light from Diode. Ill report back when they're installed. Might be a while as they're shipping USPS

I just did the cheaper ones. $45 for the 3rd brake light and $40 for the cargo light pair.

By some miracle I got the diode dynamics bulbs in today via USPS. I put them in and put the truck away. So far no issues. Used to have an issue with lasfit bulbs if my fob was in my pocket but no issue doing that with the diodes. I’ll update after this week.

Great news, thanks for the update. I’ve had no issues with the lasfit brake light, just the cargos. Wondering if I should just order them all from dd to avoid any future issues.
