I do NOT have a horse in this race. But I have been looking at these devices. I don't know about JMS (haven't looked), but Banks sells the standalone, which was shown in that video, and it needs a smartphone. That's their base model. Every other model has a control module that mounts on the truck dash or A-pillar. It's a dedicated controller, so you don't need your phone, unless you opt for the lowest priced model.

FWIW.
Very true...I believe it's called the iDash...or something like that. It's a good concept but to get that and the Pedal Monster it costs almost $600... Which is crazy. I really like my JMS PedalMax...simple analog dial control mounted near my dash...I don't have to touch my phone. I realize the safety features of the Monster are very appealing but not when it only has a 1 year warranty.

Yes I have it and it works but connecting to Bluetooth all the time when u turn truck on gets annoying and can’t change it on the go which is annoying but if u just want to set it once and done then it’s fine... might sell mine very soon for pedal commander pc78
Ps track mode in this thing is ridiculous quick!!

That's a other reason I got the JMS PedalMax...on the fly adjustment knob and no bluetooth needed.

They are based out of Canada but this is my second controller with them. Fairly new to the game. https://velocityperformanceproducts.us/

Yea I looked it up earlier...said North American made lol. Better than Chinese crap though! If it wasn't for me liking the simplicity of my JMS PedalMax...I'd probably try the Velocity. Maybe I can convince my coworker to put one in his 2016 Ram hehe!

l have the Vitesse unit... cheapest price in the bunch and does the same job ... installed since January 2020 ... no issues at all to date ....

Same here. It’s the way to go. Why pay all that money when this does the same thing for way less. Keep mine on SP07 and it’s a hoot. Quick off the line every time and no issues. Just disconnect from throttle pedal when take into dealer, then reconnect when done. That simple and I’ve had no issues to date. Great simple unit.

Oh...here's something different...
The JMS actually has a knob you turn to increase sensitivity, instead of a digital display and buttons. I kind of like that concept.

Yep, I find these style TCs work best on Rams. More linear response vs the digital preset types like SB, PedalMax, etc. I have Vitesse which uses same knob style but for much less than JMS. Tried iDrive and don’t get same instantaneous power response that get from knob/dial. It’s actually pretty amazing IMO.

PedalMax is a analog control. The Vitesse is a digital control dial with presets...hence the letters and numbers in the control unit.
I went with the pedalmax for that reason...plus it's USA made, way better warranty and customer service.

I'll admit...I like the price better lol.

Right. Meant Pedal Commander not PedalMax. PedalMax and Vitesse are much the same functionally and I believe optimal TC application for Ram Hemi.

Just an FYI on the Pedal Commander. I had mine in my 2019 Limited for about a year and a half and LOVED IT! I couldn't see ever driving without it again. When I traded her in, I pulled the PC out with hope that it would work in the new 2021 eTorque. I know this has been brought-up (so sorry if everyone may already know this) but mine is a PC-07 and the ones on their website now is the PC-78. I called and spoke with the technical guy to understand the difference. He shared with me that the PC-07 and the PC-78 are IDENTICAL hardware. The ONLY difference is that PC-78 has different software to also work with other vehicles beyond that of a RAM. He stated if you have a RAM, there is nothing at all different about them...even the software is the same. Therefore, if you see a PC-07 for sale on the forum or eBay, buy it without fear of compatibility. I installed my PC-07 into my new 2021 eTorque and it works great as it did before. No dummy lights or codes thrown. One of the best best things I ever bought for this truck and highly recommend!

Interesting. I'm running the iDrive. Maybe I'll have to give the Vitesse a try. Although, I am happy with my iDrive - but I'm not opposed to being happier!

I looked into iDrive...didn't like how the control unit was set up...plus I don't like Chinese made crap lol. Oh...and their customer service tried telling me that it has a lifetime warranty, but if you read the fine print it says 1 year warranty. Shady. Same with Banks Power.

I got to meet the owner of the company at a Jeep show. He explained a ton about their technology - most of which I've probably forgotten. Made me comfortable with giving it a try - maybe he is just a good salesman! But I am very happy with both of the iDrives I run. I actually like the layout of the unit. It's very sleek and almost unnoticeable where I have it mounted. You can even get different color face plates for the keypad

i have been using the idrive for about a month & completely content with it. i said "content" because i have nothing to compare it to & i know there are hundreds of products out there that's available.

my experience with it has been 99.9% positive - the delay when on complete stop is gone. There are times when you are on certain speed & when you mash on the throttle, there's a delay when the truck has to down shift 1 or 2 gears, but this delay when down shifting is noticeably a lot less compared to without the idrive. I'm pretty sure that there is no going around that since it is an 8 gear automatic & pushing a 6k lbs diesel truck around.
