Just have a question everything works and stays working on mine just the volume and tune knob don’t work what do I need to do?
You would need to follow the instructions in post #309 above.

I would assume you came from an 8.4nav unit then. Could you upload a copy of you BCM status?

I only have 6 months left on my lease I think I’m just gonna sell the unit I’ve been using it like this since March
You will need to set Cabin NET-ICS Integrated Center Stack set as Not enabled. The Cabin Net-DCSD Display Screen Module should already be set as Enabled. This is why the screen turns on for people with Nav and not with non-nav. When you return it to the old radio just set Cabin NET-ICS Integrated Center Stack as enabled again.

This is available on prime shipping and can be used as SGW bypass to make changes to the BCM. Just unplug the Security gateway under the dash and plug this in. Then you will plug your scanner into it. When finished return the connectors the the SGW.

When I added blind spot sensors and mirrors with blindspot orange LEDs I opted for the ones with the cameras installed. It was a bit running the coax for the left, right, and front cameras but it is doable. I was able to get 360 view working with the swap. All the parts I picked up used and was able to do this for about $350. The front and rear cameras I pulled from damaged Pacifica side mirrors that I picked up cheap.

Here’s the AlfaOBD purchase page- https://www.alfaobd.com/download.html
You’ll want the windows version, as the Android version isn’t capable of doing this yet. You also need an OBD interface so the software can communicate with your truck. Best bet is to skip all the cheap ones and just get the OBD link MX Bluetooth- https://www.amazon.com/ScanTool-OBD...uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl
This one is known to work 100% for all features.
You also need a security gateway bypass cable to be able to make the changes to your BCM-https://www.kaodtech.com/product-page/security-module-bypass
These come in and out of stock daily because he makes them in batches, so if it says out of stock, just check back the next day. You need to let him know that it is for a 2019 ram 1500 5th gen (not a classic).
Quick question before I start ordering stuff. My truck had the 8.4 without nav an updated to the 12.1. So when I start the vehicle screen don’t turn on unless I take the f44 fuse out an plug it back in. Also I don’t have rear view camera or heated seats an steering wheel controls. With this update with the alpha one will all my functions work as well as the screen turning on when the vehicle is turned on.?

Correct. The heated seat, wheel and camera just pull setting from your truck. If you don't have them they won't show up. Make the changes from post 309 and you will be good to go. Hopefully the next update to the android version will add the option so you can just select Ram 1500 to make the changes directly.

So you must have bought the radio module and the screen with the trim panel. Where did you buy these parts or did you just wait it out for parts to appear at salvage yards. I am expecting about $1500.00 to do this. Is this close.

I spent more on the module I bought it on eBay from New York’s lkq it was 590$. The screen was the cheapest a guy sold it to me for 340$ on Facebook marketplace so with everything parts it came out to 960ish. I still need the things to program it to my truck but it not going to be more than 1200$ Toast

Finding the screen is the problem. I can get the module. I have everything ready to program.

Okay so I got everything working from non-nav to 12" ( all knobs and buttons on the screen and the screen starts up every time ) using the Windows version of AlfaOBD.

If you had the 8.4 Nav unit to start you may only need to disable Cabin NET-ICS Integrated Center Stack set as Not enabled.

1. Start by connecting to the Body Computer like below. Click connect.
View attachment 42409

2. Once connected click the Advanced mode button and under modification: (RU) PACIFICA : MY2017 PowerNet.
View attachment 42410

3. Switch to Active Diagnostics tab Car Configuration then Cabin Net-DCSD Display Screen Module set as Enabled.
View attachment 42411

4. Last select Cabin NET-ICS Integrated Center Stack set as Not enabled. Verify all setting took and pull the radio fuse or unhook the battery to reset the radio let it boot up. Shut the truck off and let it sit 30 mins or so and the radio should pull the setting from your trucks BCM.

I got my BAFX OBD2 scanner today ($23 on Amazon) and was able to get connected to Alpha OBD on my laptop. Made all the changes here that Njh3409 suggested and everything is working perfectly. I actually used the same module (68317978AH) with a different screen then he did (without the lane assist or park assist buttons on the top-68420967AC) and everything works great. @Njh3409 is the man and can't be thanked enough for thinking outside the box and getting this all figured out!

Did you get the bypass wire module as well or jus bought the scanner and the alpha app?
