Just got a call from Mishimoto and they did they some orders are back ordered till June. I’m good with waiting. It ain’t gonna hurt anything not having it installed

My can was just delivered about 30 minutes ago. The quality of this can is incredible and it took me a whopping 25 minutes to unpackage it and install it. I watched their on-line video last night to be well prepared. Very well engineered kit and everything fit together perfectly. I installed a stainless steel high quality ball-**** valve I bought on Amazon to drain it without having to unscrew the can. Highly recommend this set-up!

I just heard from them. Bad news I'm afraid.

All she offered me was to actually reimburse my payment. It seems they actually did charge me the $179 for the can - which I did not know. Ouch!
and then offered to let me wait on the list to get the can when it comes in.

Really, so to make up for it, you can refund my own money which you should not have charged until shipping and them let me wait in line until whenever it does come in. Where's the customer compensation there?

As you see, every forum member who replied said that they would NOT have a problem if you offered the 6 of us who were shut out (and apparently charged) the cans at a 50% discount because of @Mishimoto error. What has the verdict been on that? Are you not willing?

Hello Chris,

Thank you for placing an order for the Ram catch cans during the pre-sale!

Unfortunately, it has been brought to my attention that the catch can is currently unavailable and our next stocking order is on or about 6/30. However, our production team is aware of the importance of this pre-sale and is currently working with our factory and see if we are able to get the out of stock component in sooner. Unfortunately, I am unable to guarantee this but if it is possible we will reach out immediately and provide you with an update.

At this time, I would like to reach out and see how you would like to continue with the order. We could keep the order as is and fill the backorder as soon as we have inventory to complete the kit. You will be on the list to receive our next stocking order. I do see where your card was charged for the product. Normally we will not bill for the product until stock is allocated to the order. We would be glad to issue a refund back to your card if you prefer and follow up when the stock has been received and allocated to your order. The other option would be to cancel the order if you would prefer not to continue. If you could follow up and let me know how you would like to continue, I'd be glad to make all the proper updates on your order.

Here is my reply: (obviously my patience have worn out and I'm still dealing with this. Not movement on Mishomoto's side.

Honestly, I would like you to offer the cans to those of us who ordered and paid but were left out and now have to wait until June 30th the cans at a 50% discount. We polled the people on the Ram Forum who also ordered and were able to get theirs if they would have any objection to us getting the discount, or if they felt it would be unfair and they all said NO, and that you should, at the least, provide them to us a a 50% discount. After all, it was your fault. In your offer, what are you actually offering us in compensation? To refund my $179 you should never have charged, and let me wait in line until they come in? That is no offer. Please advise. I will also be posting this on the forum for the others who are affected by this to see.

50% is unrealistic IMPO but I do agree that something should be offered and do support your efforts. If they went 20% below pre-sale I'd be shocked but it can never hurt to ask!

Simple solution for those that didn't receive them is to order a different can. What they charge for catch cans is ridiculous anyway. UPR and Billet Technologies both make a more affordable can for the Ram. Or you could piece your own together for even cheaper.

I'm just surprised how they avoid this whole thing and are reactive, not proactive, and their offers were not even in any way a benefit to the customer. Bad business approach.

"oh, you library books are late. Don't worry, we'll still take them back, and charge you the regular late fee. Will that be okay Sir?" hahaha

I understand that but what makes the can in this thread better than any others?

I have a $40 eBay can on my 800 HP Camaro. I made my own lines for it and am still in it for under $100. I at one time had a $200 catch can on it and it didn't perform any better than my current one.

I was just stating there are other options out there for catch cans.

Absolutely they will so it's really all about what you are looking for and how much you are willing to pay. If you want a different Mishimoto option, and what I installed on my other two vehicles, this is an excellent choice as well. Smaller size and you supply the hoses but a great choice too.

HAHAHA did you look at the shipping on there . "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months. " Great alternative. LOL

No affiliation at all...just a big fan of their products. Not taking their side at all and do feel that they could have handled you and a few others differently. Early on I was asking you to chill and give them a chance...they now had their chance and IMPO they blew it and didn't do the right thing...yet ;)

Hi all,

I'm sorry that it took a little time to hear back from me, there are a lot of moving parts in these situations and I didn't want to give you options that we couldn't actually follow through on.

It has come to my attention, as Phomma said, that some cards were charged without product shipping. This is due to the issue that I explained earlier where inventory was off between our order processing system and our warehouse system - our order processing system thought there was stock and allocated it to the order, at which time the card would be charged. Then the order went to our warehouse system to ship the order and there was nothing to ship, which is what triggered the second round of backorder emails you all received earlier this week. That problem was exacerbated by us trying to expedite some of the later orders. If you'd like to cancel your order and your card was charged, we can certainly refund the charge - the orders actually have a "credit due" status so it just takes a click of a button (plus the processing time of your card issuer).

For those of you who wish to wait for your order, we'd like offer a free drain kit. If you ordered the drain kit with your catch can, it should have already shipped and we will refund the cost back to your card (if you ordered one and it didn't ship, please let me know). If you did not order a drain kit with your catch can we will send you one free of charge. If you did not order a drain kit and do not want a drain kit, we will simply refund your order the value of the kit ($35.95) (@myram2019).

If you'd like to wait and would like any of the options above, please send me a PM with your order number and I will have it taken care of right away.

As I said earlier, and Phomma reiterated, we are working on a way to expedite shipping of the backordered kits. I don't want to make promises of when they may ship before the current 6/30 ETA, but I will let you all know as soon as I hear anything.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding, we're doing everything we can to get these out to you as soon as possible.
