Wind noise

The whistle is starting to really bother me. I don't want to drive around with circulation off. I hope someone finds a fix soon, I'd rather not have the dealer play a guessing game.

Yes I had the same issue, for me it was a misaligned panoramic sunroof. The dealer had to completely remove the headliner and reset the plastic frame and glass panel. Now I am dealing with wind noise coming from the back of the cab.
Update, 1/18/19. Took my truck to a dealer of FCA's recommendation ( original dealer was no help) so Ram engineering (wind experts) could investigate/assess the road and wind noise. I was told ( given no proof) after a short road trip they determined there are no issues and truck meets engineering design. This was the same comment about the sunroof before working with a second dealer and had it repaired. I will be contacting FCA this week to further explore my options.

Only had my Ram for a little over a month and 750 miles, but I do notice a little wind noise from the driver's side. Next time out, I will let the wife drive and see if I notice it from the passenger side. It is not bad but is noticeable. Still working on another concern that may be solved but will look into the wind noise next. Oh, I do love my Ram. No sunroof here so that can't be it.

After a good day of driving with no one else around, I can confirm that I have two separate wind noise issues:

1. Passenger side \ Rear - Issue that is still occurring and was thought to be fixed by replacing the passenger side mirror. Still occurring, but not "as bad" as before

2. Drivers side: Is out of alignment \ fitment issue. Happened to have a very strong crosswind yesterday and it was extremely loud in the cab. I was able to pull the top-back portion (roof \ b-post corner) of the door and the noise went away.

Update on mine. Dealership said they couldn't fix it because they couldn't drive it fast enough to diagnose, and had to experience it to fix it. After an hour on the phone with customer support, they are engaging their star(?) techs next week.
It was windy yesterday so I drove around for an hour or so putting tape all over the outside mirror. I now don't think it's the mirror, but I didn't get to test everything. I'm confident it's not a seam there anyway. The sound is like blowing over a glass bottle to whistle. Just need to find the hole that's causing it. We'll see what they come up with next week.

Another unhappy Ram customer here. I preordered my Ram on release date. Love their trucks but I have to say, this wind whistle is very annoying, especially when it is continuous. I'm ready to bail and get rid of mine.

Here is an example:

That’s the same sound I have but only happens with a strong cross current.

Could a "Ram Care Specialist please contact me. I own a body shop that is currently working on a 2019 Ram 1500 with the same "whistle" wind noise. It starts at speeds as low as 45pmh. We've already did a tape test to the hood, fenders, doors, windshield, & mirrors. It does also vary with the recirc button on or off. Repairs done so far is: replace the cowl vent panel, recirculation door, duct, and actuator, and the windshield. We have found issues with just about everything. However, even after repairing the issues that were present, the noise is still there. I've pinpointed it to the cowl vent panel mounting channel that is attached to the windshield. If we put tape over the channel the noise goes away. I have not checked into the back glass seal yet as some people have mentioned on here.
Please advise,
Thank you.

Could you post pictures of where you put the tape to stop the whistle?

Mine has the whistle starting at about 45mph and above. I did notice with the recent cold snap where I live around 20degF during the day that it didn't do it at all. The recirc doesn't have any impact it. I am thinking it might be the leading edge of the plastic cover over the roof rain gutters, but I haven't checked it with tape yet.

My 2019 1500 Laramie has been in the dealership for almost total of 6 weeks while they try to fix our wind issue. Windshield has been pulled twice and resealed, no improvement, no progress.

In another thread, unrelated to this one....peeps were having issues with spot welds and the seam,at the edge of the firewall/cab. Peeps in that thread had issues with water leaking in.

Maybe the same issue(spot welds/seam)are broken/loose...and letting whistling air in. Just a thought

Since day one I’ve experienced wind noise above 50mph. Pressing up on the leading edge of the sunroof lessens it considerably. That said, I’m holding off on taking it to the dealership until there’s a true fix. Someone posted they had the sunroof adjusted and now the noise is coming from the back.

Get it together, FCA. We’ve payed a lot of money for these trucks and expect more than simply being guinea pigs for local techs who can’t troubleshoot to save their lives and end up making matters worse. The last thing I want is a tach tearing apart my new truck, knowing full well they’re not going to put it back together the way they found it.

Concerned owner of a ‘19 Limited.

I have the same problem with my 2019 ram Laramie. I took it to the dealership 3 weeks ago and and its still there. To the day, the specialist has not found the issue is. They tried a new side mirror and that did not work. Pretty darn frustrating that its talking this long!

I will keep everyone in the loop.

Well, I got a call from a GM at the dealership. The service mgr now lies and says he doesn't remember the conversation about the wind noise. Told him that was BS, rhey had my truck for over a month, and he wrote down what was wrong. So recorded the sound in the cab on a windy day, and texted to the GM. Have not heard a word
