Wheel Spacers

I would do 1.5" spacers and 285/75. Nice stance, little less contact patch, little more clearance. Visually they will look like 35's.

The 285/75’s are actually a larger diameter than 35x12.50

a 285/75/18 is equivalent to 34.8x11.2

" 285/75R18 tires have a diameter of 34.8", a section width of 11.2", and a wheel diameter of 18". The circumference is 109.4" and they have 579 revolutions per mile.
Generally they are approved to be mounted on 7.5-9.5" wide wheels. - Tiresize.com "

Yes. 35x12.50’s come out at around 34.5 mostly.

The Nitto Ridge Grapplers (which is what I have 11.5 wide) come out to 34.76x11.42 so they are pretty close to actual measurements. Of course, all tires have slightly different measurements. So for sure it depends on where your tires come from.

Fun thing for me is, when I got my tires last year I was going to go with Wrangler Duratrac 35x12.5 because I've had them before and really liked them for both summer and winter. At the time I didn't want to do wheel spacers or get rims so I ended up with the RG 35x11.5 because Duratacs don't come in 11.5 wide. Fast forward 7 months and here I am getting spacers because of my pocket flares I just had to have haha.... Around and around in circles I go... I try to tell myself to stop spending money on my truck but I just can't stop myself haha...

Next round (when tires need replacing) , I will go with the Duratracs 12.5 with either aftermarket rims or continue with the spacers. I was concerned about how close you get to the ball joints and tie-rod arms, I didn't want any rubbing issues with the 12.5 wides.

So all tire brands can differ on size dramatically, the factory TRX tire is a Goodyear territory A/T it is a 325/65/18 and actual measurement is 34.6” tall by 12.8” wide 18” rim with offset of wheels it put my tire into the upper control arms forcing me to go with spacers. Here’s two pictures one with & one without 1 1/2” spacers then i had to remove my little splash guards & flattened out the liner with a heat gun.

Scored a set of 18” Mopar Beadlocks and 1.5” Wheel spacers. I’m in between 35x12.50 or 285/75?.. Was leaning towards the 285/75’s and using the wheel spacers for a more aggressive stance. Yet if I’m going to use the spacers anyway, should I just go with 35x12.50 and the spacers (to clear UCA’s)?..

Only thing is if I don’t like the spacers with the 285/75 I wouldn’t have clearance problems. If I go with 35x12.50’s I’m definitely locked in with using spacers because of clearance issues.

Any other votes?.. so frustrating

Has anyone felt the need to buy a paint marker to make the spacer nuts and spacer to monitor that the bolts haven't shifted.

I know you can't see it unless you take your wheels off. So maybe you just retorque when wheels are off.

Is it pointless to mark them since you can't see unless wheel is off.

Does anyone use anti seize on back of spacer (between brake and spacer)?

just check torque every time you rotate with 10 ft/lbs less than original torque

I do put anti-seize a lite coat between them because on my Jeep when you ever decide to take them off they stick and have to be knocked loose with a hammer.
