Temporarily fixed my shark fin leak with any luck. There is a rubber gasket at the base of the fin that is there only to protect the paint from the fin. The actual seal is in a dime sized hole in the roof where the wires pass through. There is a gap at the back of the gasket supposedly to let water out but rain causes water to puddle at the back of the fin forcing it through the gap to the hole in the roof. My truck only leaks when parked, when driving the water is wicked away and there aren't any drips inside. I stuck a half cut disposable pipette in the gap to drain the water away. So far no leaking

Ordered my 37x12.50r20 Toyo MTs, Bilstein 5100s for the front to raise the front from 4.75” to 6.5” and the BDS matching rear kit 😁 just a tip: the BDS 6” kit is identical to the 4” kit in the front, the only difference is the size of the spacer. So you can make a 4” kit into a 6” easily with spacers or bilsteins. Or to make a 6” kit into a 4” it’s easy up front but in the rear you’ll need different coils and shocks. Figured that info may help someone.

Installed pedal monster. Like so far. Track is crazy. Liking city 8. Super easy to install

Changes the truck. Only skeptics are those that never owned one. Going from eco boost to 5.7 was smushy. This thing gave me exactly what I expected. V8 growl with response off the line. I do City 5 and sport 5 if I need a jump to get over. Track is obnoxious.

Well, after posting some pics for yesterday, woke up today to a completely dead battery on my 2020 Ram with only 6400 miles. Now I am stuck up in Ouray, CO which is small mountain town with no FCA dealerships anywhere and 300 miles from home.

The Ram is completely dead...nothing comes on. Tried jumping but nothing except some weird popping and hissing noise that came and went (no air suspension). Don't know how this happened as the lights were off, nothing left on inside the truck.

Searching the forums now and finding that others have experienced this with their Rams too (1500 and 2500). If I did get to a dealer, they won't replace the battery unless they can prove the cellls are damaged/dead. Considering where I am at, I will lucky to find any battery that will fit but no guarantee that won't go dead either if there is another problem.

So that is what I am doing with my wonderful Ram truck today!

Washed and ready for the 4th!
20210701_193908.jpg
Currently installed
Front: ReadyLift 3.5" SST Kit (w/ UCA)
Rear: ICON 2.0 VS Internal Resevoir Shock + Rear 1.5" Dual Rate Spring

Rims: Fuel Heater 18x9.5
Tires: 35x12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers

Honestly, got really disappointed with the ReadyLift 3.5" SST system. It ended up squeaking/creaking/popping a lot and created a ton of stiffness and rear end hop. I replaced the readylift spacer in the rear with something more "official" which made a night and day difference for control and rear end hop. One day soon I'll replace the both the front and rear with an accutuned Fox 2.5 system or King 2.5 (carli or thuren). Everyone tells me to go with Fox 2.5 but honestly my heart is with Kings... well see what happens

that slight rear rake is cali lean. carolina boys have bastardized it into the carolina squat haha. i’m not a fan of either.

Not in NorCal man. I’ve seen level and sky high/cencal lifts but not that squat stuff man. Don’t make us responsible for that too man. I’ve never liked the cencal style either.

I’m 40 miles away in Montrose, CO. Holler if I can help in any way! (There’s a dealer here too and one in Grand Junction)

I remember the cali lean being the original (although like someone else stated, not as ridiculous as the Carolina's stuff) from my time being on GM truck forums back around 2005. Back then it was a big enough craze to get the cali lean name, but from what I remember it did seem to be more of a southern California thing. Anyone else recall that?
