What did you do to your Ram today???

Major horsepower upgrade this afternoon. Swapped out the standard push button starter for the TRX red button.

I can already tell the truck drives better and 0-60 for sure improved!

Just joking $32 well spent!

I bet...mine's on order too!

Ran into a few problems with my audio system build.

Good news is, I was able to use my Infinity Reference 6.5 components in the rear doors (they are running off the factory radio power). Got both those in, no problem (Custom bracket, sound deadening, fast rings, the whole 9 yards). They sound MUCH better than the factory base rear speakers, by far. See pics 1 and 2. The driver's front Infinity component mid bass driver is installed, with all the goodies (Sound deadening (more was added, at the bottom, after the pic), fast rings, etc.). See pics 3 and 4.

Bad news is, we had an issue with one of my front Infinity Reference 6x9 component mid bass drivers. It seems to be stuck in the negative, reverse polarity, position. Literally, sucked into the coil. I have never seen anything like this before. Actually, I have never even heard of anything like this before. See pics 5 and 6. My installer contacted Infinity for a replacement, under warranty (more waiting!!!). Also, the subwoofer isn't quite finished (very disappointed), yet. But, I would rather wait for the whole system to work properly.

So, I need the subwoofer enclosure finished/carpeted, a replacement Infinity mid bass driver for the passenger front (probably going to take forever), a DSP tune for the Kicker Key amp (front 2-way active, bi-amped), then, the sub can be tuned to the whole system. This is definitely more work than I thought it was going to be. Had a lot of issues with my Jeep GC, too. Absolute nightmare, that was.

Stopped at my dealer today to make an appointment to get fixed all the things i read about in this forum: 1. Brake squeal in cold weather when backing out of garage. 2. Strange leaky exhaust sound on cold start up - manifold bolts? 3. Dash light dimmer dials that don't work. 4. Paint starting to peel on inside edge of fender flare. 5. And one that havent seen - a tear in the rubber on my key fob. She's getting all her aches and pains fixed up before warranty runs out in 3000 miles.

Pretty good! Wasn’t to hard, I didn’t download the instructions. I just did it like other vinyls I have done before. How did the texas flag turn out? If I lived in texas… I’d proudly put that flag there!

nice! i dunno if it came with instructions where i ordered from. i applied mine as if it were 3m vinyl. soapy water and a squeegee. went on alright, just need to let the heat draw out the moisture and let it form around the logo. i’m fairly happy with it, the colors aren’t quite as saturated as this pic makes them seem

So got Hades a wash, clay bar, De-iron, wash again, paint correction, polish, wax, Jade Quartz 9H 5-7yr ceramic (3 coats) - including all plastics and wheels. Raining, so I have to wait until Sunday to pick her up when fully cured. Stopped by the shop to take some pics, bring her flowers and tell her I love/miss her. ❤️6DC1CE0E-A172-4E6C-AE5F-75AD3BA80B43.jpegEBDC0AA9-7695-4188-B0B2-776806781C10.jpeg3D17F143-5700-4378-B978-E9E469D50F6A.jpeg00B624F7-EC6C-44B0-9116-F7B7C714CFA6.jpeg7E92A2FC-22D6-4786-B6F5-C179E0633814.jpeg

I'd rather risk a little fading than run a dash carpet, but to each his own. They are just too ugly, IMO. ;)
Worst case, you can just let the dash fade naturally. Then, if you have the truck long enough, you can cover it with that dash pad. Then, if you have it long enough, you can replace that dash pad

What is good underbody protection for off-roading? My truck did not come equipped with any skid plates. And and all advice is much appreciated!

*Finally* finished installing my Katzkin leather. Between summer heat, going on vacation, and breaking my arm, this project took a while to finish but it’s finally done and I’m happy with the outcome. Now the heat just needs to shrink the leather and get rid of the wrinkles!
