It is wired in with a power actuator. Turn it off for the highway for a nice quite ride and then open it up for tunnels and passing mustangs.
Hell to the Yes!!!!!!

That is how you do it!!!!

OMG...tunnel have not thought of that (none here in Florida)!!!!!

I still have mine connected through the lighter for now. I bought the switch for the brake that goes in that slot where you have yours installed as I wanted to keep it more stealthlike/OEM appearance. Just have not fooled around with the switch yet.

Let me know how you like the hellwig!
Rampat,

DEFINITELY worth the price of admission!!!! Big difference in the "feel" of the truck. First I installed just the Hellwig to the middle setting (3 total settings). Took it safely through some curves/turns/bumps when no cars were around. Like the yield lanes we have here in Florida(you know) that go around the curve to allow you onto bigger streets to then merge into the flow of traffic. My My My...she was tight and followed her nose around the curves/turns with virtually no outward lean/swaying. Compared to stock, I have to say night and day difference.

With a little Autocrossing in my background with my old BMW...you learn how to attack curves and drop into them appropriately to avoid spinout and max acceleration...basically get the feel of the weight shifting etc along with how to properly use your brakes and so forth---I would love to get out there now with my truck. Yes, I know the truck is not a racer but still would be fun. At the course in my area that have allowed trucks on the course.

I know this is a very subjective statement---going from stock to Hellwig rear sway bar AND adding my 2" wheel spacers (littler wider in the rear now); it does feel like I went from the go cart lean to the "rails" around the curve in my truck!!!!

I would imagine those with the airbags and/or other improvements of the suspension along with the Hellwig are really enjoying the tighter feel probably steps above my Bighorn.

Now, If I can find some better brake pads (noooo not a brake kit--no big brakes) I really would be complete with my RAM19 until BMW made a truck!!!!

I definitely recommend getting the Hellwig no question about it.

Good post. I’ll be doing the hellwig as my next project. I use EBC pads and rotors and love them. Ran them on my 3500.

Good news. I’m actually pretty disappointed with how disconnected this truck feels vs my 2016 F150. Definitely 1000% smoother but man does this thing feel squishy in turns and nose in pretty hard. I’m thinking I’ll need new tires on top of the Hellwig.

Trying my luck with a new weather seal for my Mopar bed cover. Disappointed in how much rain has been getting in with the original seal and set up. Saw a while back another member used it around his tailgate/Rambox area. Bought it on Amazon. I also used a little waterproof sealant glue on the screws that go into the cover’s rails which hold a small bracket for the arms to hold the cover open against the cabin. I think the brackets leak because they're accidentally screwed through the rails from the factory. Hopefully this work keeps more rain out.

I applied the seal to the bulkhead AND the cover itself. But it ended up being about 1/2 inch too wide to properly close the tailgate. After cutting half the cover seal out it fit much better.

I used two small pieces from the original seal that were still sticky enough and put them at the back of the bed rails by the gate to see if it keeps water/debris out. Fingers crossed that all this works out better than it has been or else I’ll need some waterproof luggage!

Oh and I cleaned the tri-fold with Chemical Guys waterless cleaner that I’ve been trying out.

I’m very interested in the rear black ones you installed. Those look robust, please report back on that.

Thanks Viper67, I will look into those EBC pads!!! How would you describe them over the stock pads?

I don't mind brake dust if its an improvement on the bite and braking as it is worth it to me.

I’ll do a review of everything that I’ve had installed exhaust wise later today. What has been installed today is a Mopar cat back paired with my Carven black tips. Definitely has a nice sound to it and one that I’m sure my wife will be accepting of.
What are your thoughts

What are your thoughts on the mopar exhaust so far? I'm trying to decide if I want to get it or the borla stype.

I really like it but to be honest I know you can replicate the look and sounds much cheaper. I personally wanted the peace of mind that if something goes wrong, it falls on them. :)

And...this morning I got to our favorite beach spot and it was pretty much emptied out (tourist not out yet...lol). I was able to get the first parking slot and take a great picture to boot!!! Believe me the tourist came out(love them too). The dolphin stayed in the area for at least an hour probably more--feeding, about 50 to 150 yards out---great view!!!

In the one picture below you can see my recent MODs of the OEM side steps and the BORA wheel spacers (1.5" front and 2.0" rear). I am posting few more pics of the wheel spacers in the thread called "Wheel Spacers"

EDIT---no I did not lower my truck it just looks that way from the angle of pic with wheel spacers...truck is stock height

I was thinking the same thing as far as warranty troubles. I have the b2 fabrication magnaflow on mine now ,its quality workmanship but it isn't quite loud enough for me. Is the mopar as loud as the borla stype?

@Rampat poured water around the tailgate seal and it still got in. Same with the new bulkhead seal I tried out. Better than it was before, but not was I hoping for. I guess my cover will never be 100% leak proof. Perhaps you or someone else will have better luck. The tailgate seal definitely fills the gap well and will most likely keep dirt/debris and some rain out but there’s still gaps the way I set it up.

I bought the truck with about 4,000 miles already done by the original owner. After driving it for a few weeks I called the shop he did the work with and decided to go a slightly different route. Thank you to "Industrial Motoring" in Anaheim, CA. They really know "lifted trucks".

1st, they removed my Pulsar piggyback tuning unit due to my ignition issues. I since have sent it back to Edge Products under warranty. They sent out a new one and I haven't put it back in yet. As soon as it was removed it resolved my ACC issues. I plan to put it back once I have a moment.

2nd, they removed the (4) AuxBeam 9" Driving Lights that were originally mounted on the front bumper. I wanted to see more of the front grill even though they put off SO much light. I was going for a cleaner look.

3rd, they removed the 20x12 Hostile Wheels and 38" Mickey Thompson tires and replaced them with 20x10 Fuel Triton Wheels with 35" Falken Wildpeak AT3W's. I was looking for a more compliant ride with more streetability.

4th, they adjusted the Fabtech Dirt Logic front coilovers for more play as they were set up for the 38", and then had it all realigned.

5th, they installed new AMP Research Power Steps in place of the fixed RBP side steps that were on it before.

When I got it home, I removed the Century (Paint Matched) Ultra Sport Bed Shell after building a mount that I constructed in the garage. Now I could back the truck into place and put it on the mount or on the truck, when I want.

Then, I took it to Poway RAM in San Diego, and had 2 recalls done (brake pedal and ground cable) and did the 12" Screen Software Update, and the Amplifier TSB. I recommend Poway RAM and was impressed with their customer service.

Now that I am settled in and plan to enjoy the truck this summer, I plan to advertise a list of goodies to sell including:

20x12 Hostile Wheels
38" Mickey Thompson tires
Stock 22" wheels and tires
(4) Aux Beam 9" Circular LED Lights with Shields and Brackets.
All Stock Suspension Parts (for those who want to revert to stock)
RBP Side Steps
Sprint Booster V3

Google them. They are about the best out there unless your spending tons on bembro.
