What did you do to your Ram today???

Had my appointment for small lift/level for my 22 Ram today. I have wanted to do this since I picked up the truck two years ago, but the cheap-skate in me couldn't do it until the original tires needed replacement.
When I made the appointment, I explained to the guy that i just wanted the truck moderately higher and I wanted to eliminate the rake in the back. I explained that the only off-roading I do is the occasional trip into the back yard with some landscaping supplies. I commute 140 miles a day in the truck and the lift/level was purely for looks. I was thinking about going with the Carli commuter lift but wanted to hear what they suggested.
They suggested that because it was just for looks, and that I would still be putting a lot of miles on the truck, I should stay away from a full kit. They said I should just put Bilstein 5100s up front and then live with the truck a while and determine if I feel it still needs anything in the back.
I also added B F Goodrich All-Terrain KO2s in 285/65/20 (35 inch) on my factory wheels. (I am old - I like chrome, and I like the factory wheels), and the Helwig 7793 sway bar.

I like the result, but it is not all I hoped for. I think I should have gone a little higher. Between the taller tires, and the Bilsteins on the highest setting, I gained about 4 inches up front from ground to wheel well apex (exact measurements coming). It just seems a lot more subtle look than I expected. Also, I think the back may need to come up an inch to make it level - sometimes it looks level, sometimes it doesn't).

Not sure if I will bother trying to get the speedometer/odometer recalibrated.

Didn't want to clean polish off the plastic or out of the door jams and the rubber seals on the doors.
Didn't do that on the other side and spent more time cleaning up the polish than it took to polish.

I have had good luck cleaning up polish with a rubber eraser on some parts.

Looks subtle maybe a nice set of chrome 18’s or 20’s would really set it apart!
 
Yesterday -
Put about 2351 miles on the truck since I set off on Sunday.
Took a break at one of the road side rest areas to stretch my legs, used restroom (they call it washroom here...?!) and read the signs aboot the area.

Changed the oil today. Fumoto valve for the win! Also cleaned the air filter (really need to look into an extra so I’m not wasting time while it dries) and drained the CC (was 1/3 full). Now she’s good till Spring or so.
 
Question for the group…

I’ve been seeing a lot more posts on FB groups of guys having oil cooler failures… being that I want to keep my truck a long time and am already pushing 80k miles I’m thinking about bypassing the factory oil cooler and going to an air style oil cooler. Thoughts? Anyone else thinking about this at all or done this mod or am I just being paranoid

I had my oil cooler lines replaced last time I went in for service (90k) tech showed me they were both leaking and got it done under warranty!

Stopped by Wally World and picked up a new H8 AGM battery. Thought process was that these trucks are pretty finicky with their batteries and I'm still on my OEM one. It's probably due anyways. I'd went through all my connections on my camera and was at a loss.

Installed the new battery and the 12" uconnect system was not happy. Climate control was only working in HI or LO settings. Loss of many settings etc. No camera either.

Decided to go back over my connections one more time starting with the tailgate. As soon as I popped the handle assembly out of the tailgate I saw the problem. Apparently I didn't seat the pink camera coax connection in fully.

Reseated it and we have video! After that I manually pushed the 40.1 update to my 12" system. After the update all systems are functioning at 100%.

I actually turned around for this. My campsite for the night before was pass this.

truck and I both saw glacier for the first time in our lives. This was the first glacier we saw.
