Ultimate OBD JScan Thread

I was reading about enabling auto high beams with alpha. Anyone know if this can be done with jscan? Here’s the alpha prodecure

VehConfig 1: Auto Highbeam- YES
**2014 CBC Config I/O & Feat.: Auto High Beam Module Location- IRCM**
CustSetMenu 1: Auto High Beam CSM Present- YES
Cust.Prog.Features: Auto High Beam- Enabled

in jscan I searched auto high and these are the results. Only the first one really looks like it would be it.

In Jscan, choose the vehicle as a Jeep Gladiator JT.
These are the 3 settings. Module location depends on whether or not you have forward collision warning, or the mirror with auto high beam camera.
If you have forward collision warning, the location is IRCM.
If you don’t have forward collision warning, the location is CRVMM.

Thanks @Jimmy07 ! I will attempt this in a few minutes. I don't have collision warning for sure, but I also don't know if I have the camera. I do have an auto dimming rear view tho. Guess there's one way to find out.

If your truck did not come from factory with auto high beams, then you don’t have the correct mirror with the auto high beam camera.

I see. Just did the programming out of curiosity, covered the sensor on the dash to make the lights come on, and pushed the handle to high beam. It’s sunny out right now tho.

With the below setting is enabled, the high beam won’t come on, even when the handle is in high. If I uncheck the setting, the high beams turn on.

Guess I can find out tomorrow morning. Is there any indication on the dash that auto high beams are enabled?

Mopar parts is showing P/N 68312206AA for the mirror with auto dim headlights. Just FYI.

@Jimmy07 i rolled back my changes since I don’t have the correct mirror. I did notice a couple of openings on the mirror/windshield tho. Any idea what they are for? Thanks

@deeve How is it working for you? I'm guessing you had the right mirror?
I have the FCW so the hardware was already present. I just needed to activate it. When I spec'd the truck build I added things that I knew would allow me to more easily add things like auto high beams, rain sensing wipers and adaptive cruise control.

Can JScan enable LEDs? I have halogen housings with Lasfit LED’s that are CanBus compatible. Occasionally, especially on hot summer days, the resister probably overheats and I get the dash warning turn signal out.

does anyone know the settings to enable passive entry on a 2021 big horn?

I haven’t heard of anyone trying to do this. It can enable the LED housing, but not sure about bulbs only.

I’m sure it can if you have the hardware. Did you install everything? @Jimmy07 can probably help

I asked @Jimmy07 when I ordered the wiring harnesses from him. He said it is the same basic settings as in AlfaODB. I checked and they do match up on JSCAN so I do not anticipate any problems. I have all the parts and wiring to do this mod...just have not had a full weekend (without rain) to tackle it yet. I will post up when I do though with what settings I used.

I just received my ODBII reader today. Already have the bypass cables. I am going to subscribe to JScan with my VIN tomorrow and need to adjust my Speedo. Does anyone have a step by step procedure for this? I don’t think it’s going to be difficult from the research I’ve done, I’m just trying to forgo the trial and error part of using a new app etc. 🤣🤣🤣
