Uconnect 12 Issue - No Sound/Sirius Doesn't Load

You're gonna have to be patient. I was right there with you, mad, waiting 3 months for a radio replacement. But it finally came, and works like it's supposed to.
Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with my new "Radio ID" for my Sirius account. Dealer is supposed to get back to me about it. I'm pushing for the 1 year trial period to start over.
Get a Uconnect case going. They and the dealership can throw in extras to compensate for the inconvenience.
Hope you get set up fast. (y)
Hope they get you some freebies....! At the very least the promised year of XM that came with the truck. I know that once this is resolved that's what I'm asking for.

Well I got my new radio installed in less than an hour at my dealer while I waited and low and behold... my radio works and everything is back to normal with one new feature. If the radio cant find a satellite signal, it asks me if I want to stream it over the internet. I assume its using the 4G plan that I pay for so my kid can have wifi in the truck. I will have to call Sirius and discuss switching over to the new radio ID in the morning and then discussing with my U Connect case manager if compensation for the inconvenience is possible.

Well Halli-freakin-lujah. I guess this just proves manufacturing defects do exist. All we need is for them to more quickly and painlessly acknowledge it.
FYI mine has done the streaming thing since day 1. I also added the truck to my AT&T service after the included 3GB ran out about 3 months in.

What software version is installed?

20.04.19 just like before but instead of the original radio being a CNSC29NFGL, now it's a CNSC29N3GL. Meh... whatever, it works now.

FWIW, mine is a N3GL and has the same issue. I’m also on 20.04.19.

I do hope your problem is resolved, though!

It has not any issue since being replaced so I imagine the issue with our radios is the over the air update. It's obviously not double checking the data it receives and just installs it regardless of errors or missing information, which ends up with a corrupt install. Just like a computer if it's not done right, the operating system gets hosed.

@INVISBLE Any news on how it went with Sirius regarding radio ID change?
I'm still in my free trial period with the old radio ID. Curious if contacting them with a new ID will get me hosed somehow.

Uconnect said they can not do anything about extending trial. So either I see how long the "trial" lasts with the new radio which could be anywhere from 60 to 90 days or even the original year... O I hose myself, tell Sirius my new radio ID and get the remaining 50 something days left on my original trial. Hmmm

If you click on the user profile on your radio, you should be able to see how many days are remaining on your trial. I happened upon this info yesterday, but don’t have a screenshot handy to share.

Also don't forget you may get hosed on 5 year travel link subscription. SIRIUS screwed me on my travellink subscription when I had 4 years left.

My original radio ID
12/1/2020 Sirius All Access Trial expires
12/1/2024 Travel Plus and Travel Link expires

New radio ID
?
?

There is a "ADD a RADIO" button online. I might wait till 12/1/2020 to add the new radio to my account and see what happens.

Did it just do OTA update? There have been a few reports of the latest OTA update bricking the radio with the siriusxm not loading.

I'm having the exact same issue I have to take it back to the dealership so they can download something

My bad... mine says it's in Demo mode. Which just further complicates matters! Ugh!!

So I took my truck in on Wednesday so they could run "diagnostics" and as of yesterday, Friday, they had new updates but they were leaning towards replacing the radio and were awaiting Chrysler's approval. I asked if I could have my truck back for the weekend since they wouldn't be working on it and they said they said if they release it Chrysler would close the case and they would have to start all over. They have no idea how long it might take and could set me up with a rental car from Enterprise but it would be a minivan.....no f'in way i'm driving a minivan. I just want my truck back at this point, radio or no radio! Any advise on what I should do? It seems like I could be without my truck for awhile.

That doesn't sound right about Chrysler starting over. My dealer didn't want to keep my truck for any period of time. They had the ball rolling for a new radio while I drove it around, and called me in when they received it after a 3 month wait.

I've had my truck for a couple months now and this just started happening. Siriusxm says loading and never does, FM Radio, Aux, Apple Carplay doesn't play any sound and when I turn the volume knob the volume indicator doesn't move up or down. Anyone have this issue? Not sure what I should do, reset?

Audio Sound Not Working 12 " screen. 2020 Ram 1500 crew cab. Several months after my truck had the Update for the backup camera done at the dealer, I am now experiencing "No Entertainment Audio" problems upon startups sometimes. Restarting several times does not help to clear the problem. Sirius Radio fails to load, FM and AM has no sound and cannot change channels, USB reads "unknown" with no sound. Basically I have no sound entertainment but navigation works. After several restarts at different times, everything will eventually return to normal only to happen again a few days later. Before the dealer update for camera recall, it never happened. Truck is at dealer now being diagnosed.

Welcome to the now... you will most likely need to jump through several hoops in order to get a replacement radio from your dealer. After 3 months I got one and so far so good, it's worked as it should.

i just dropped my truck off for this same thing. I couldnt adjust the volume and some time satellite radio wouldnt pick up a signal. The dealer didnt find any software updates so they went ahead and did a factory reset on the system. Following the reset and when the satellite radio signal was picked up they noticed the volume was locked and wouldnt adjust. They are ordering a new module and hoping that is the issue, no mention of a new radio. We'll see what happens.
