@RamCares is the way to try and bring attention to the post.
I know this is old, but many I’ve spoke to have given up posting.
Unfortunately most of us are out of warranty. Update PR40.1 has not worked for everyone and it’s not even easy to get ahold of. My radio is now locking up, Sirius keeps stopping for days. And now my navigation software is all messed up, and no it’s not the cell card failing. Gotta be some better way to get this serviced. The dealership is ZERO help… long hold times got me a 900 plus bill for tech support on the phone. I said you could have replaced the module for that kind of money. Replacing the brain really take all of 10 minutes for an experienced technician. But you got 7 hours of diagnostic work.
Now that UC5 is taking the headlines many of us with the UC4 systems felt left behind. I understand and see FCA is starting to tank… and if so would the company rather not go out in a high note with its customers rather then being pissed we spent 10’s of thousands on a failed truck with various issues. Not just the radios…
Lifters, manifolds, power steering issues, exhaust issues, front differential issues.. A/C hotter then a 2002 Chevy 1500 with half a charge.
Had my manifolds replaced. Took over a year to complete. 5 star dealership did the work in Enfield CT. (Artioli) They scratched my truck, failed to install all the hardware they removed. Did not replace any push pins they broke. Big hand grease marks on the door. Funny the service advisor I dropped off to pointed out how clean my truck was when dropping it off. This is how I got it back. With a bill. I also mentioned being MY shop has witech of a TCU update. I got yelled at for mentioning and told I was a liar.
It’s sad days we have to deal with this kind of work after the purchase. And yes I tried another dealership that scammed me hard for a 30k. Broke my front air dam and took over a year to replace. Least they admitted it. (Metro)
