TRX Grill on Laramie

My delivery was supposed to be yesterday, but tracking now looks like monday instead.

Better get here soon because the more time i have to think, the more details i keep adding to the project.
i am now adding leds to the lower grill.

Grille arrived today.
opened box and removed the yellow lights.
the RAM letters are non standard size….
that will be a problem later when i want to add stickers or lights.
I may try to make led inserts for these new letters.

yes it does feel flimsy…
but all the factory stuff feels flimsy when off the truck too,
so i am confident i will like it after install.

started taking the old grille out but the side facia panels are not cooperating…

Side facia panels were an absolute pain. Are the letters different than the OEM RAM lettering on the TRX? They look similar but you can tell these were almost 3d printed being that you have to 3m tape them in

Me either, but if they are the same as TRX though they will be a "standard size" so decals should become available.

Ok, i am going to attemp to put the LEDs from the smaller letters
into the trx letters. this will be a major surgery kind of thing.
i will post picks as i go, but odds are that i will f it up.

Hmm so whats the verdict on this? Im thinking of getting it for my laramie as well, those hallow RAM letter looks amazing. Is there any fitment issue with it on the laramie? or is it a perfect fit? I seen some gaps in some of the picture but im not sure if thats from the angle its being taken at or whats not

I like mine. It fit my bighorn.
I dont like the orange lights. Easy to remove them.
the letters work as delivered,

Nice, I do like the grille lights but I kind of want a more low ley ambering ones instead of the one they provide but I may just take them out like you say, really don't wanna mess with electrical stuff because of warranty issues and that I'm not good with it haha

I have not broke into the factory wiring yet but everybody says its easy.

I just got the ebay TRX looking Grill install the Fitment isn’t very good had to do some modifications.
Cut the side clips of the grill.
Adjust the hood Latch the grill is bit higher so it didn’t wanted to close the hood.
The hood on the sides is a bit lifted still need to do some more mods maybe trim the sides on top of the grill.
They definitely need to do some more work in to it order to get a perfect fit.
