Towing the new camper

The proportions of the Super Duty towing that trailer just look so much more "right".

Something always looks funny to me about a half ton towing a travel trailer over 24 ft (including my own, not hating), especially if its a short bed crew half ton.

It feels more right, too.

Towing around the mountains in northern New Hampshire and Vermont has made me appreciate having too much truck even more.

I think we'd have still been fine with our setup in the Ram, but it's just a much more relaxing drive. I can set tow/haul and the engine brake to auto, set adaptive cruise to the speed limit, and it drives about the same with the trailer as without it. Much more relaxing.

Nice!

We may be up that way next spring. We'll be spending the winter in Florida and Texas. Still not sure whether we're going to head west then north, or north then west.

We came across some very nice campgrounds this trip. More than willing to make suggestions on campgrounds.

@SnowBlaZR2 Rippling River Resort
We stayed at this park, just outside Marquette. Absolutely amazing place and close to trails, town, and all the greatness offered in the area.

https://www.bayridgervpark.com/ and Manistique Lakeshore Campground | Manistique, MI Upper Peninsula are two that we drove through and will stay at next year. Bayridge has great views of the water and is located in a more remote place. Manistique lake shore is on lake Michigan and has a great sand beach(it looks like).

Nice. You carry a fly rod or any other fishing poles with you??
I don't currently, but as we continue to slow our pace and stay put longer, it's something we've considered.

Twin Mountain, NH. We were here in July. Loved the area, so went back to the same campground for a couple weeks.

We made it over to Littleton and Bethlehem while we were in the area.

This campground also was nice enough to let me ship four vent fan covers that I installed. Great addition for being able to keep our vents open in rain and while driving. Ignore the dirty roof. It's been ages since we've been somewhere I could wash the rig.

We did another couple longer stays and a few Harvest Hosts mixed in over the last month or so.

You were not too far from me visiting the Zippo/Case place!

Great pics.
At one point, we were planning to go from there down to State College, but we spent more time in New Hampshire than we originally planned.

The state park pictures makes the trailer look all catywumpus. Probably a optical illusion.

The whole campground was on a pretty steep hill. I was convinced that our LevelMatePRO was off because it didn't look level when set it up. Even broke out the beam level for the first time in almost a year to check it.

We really wanted to keep the Ram. We loved it and it did very well with the upgrades we made. We even test drove a 3500 Limited, but with the older cab, it just wasn't what we wanted.

I'm looking forward to getting rid of the feeling that I should stop every time I see a CAT scale just to "see where I'm at."

I'm not looking forward to our first fillup. 💰

I probably won't even bother migrating to the Ford forums, as long as y'all will have me here.
.
Hopefully whenever Ram gets around to fully updating the HD's they'll win you back. But until then, maybe just not so many full-on photos of the Ford? Nothing against the Fords or the GMs, they're all great trucks, it just seems weird to see so many full-on photos of an F350 in a dedicated Ram forum. Love seeing your tricked-out camper and the beautiful spots you travel to, but maybe crop out the F350? Just my personal opinion and suggestion, nothing more, please ignore it rather than take offense. Happy motoring, regardless.

I think they'll easily get me back with an update. We were set on ordering a new F-350 Tremor, but we weren't impressed with the new ones versus the 2021 we found a great deal on. If we had to pick between a new Ford and a new Ram, it'd still be the Ford, but I'd much rather move into an updated Ram when we get a new truck.

The dudes over at the HD forum are pretty happy that I'd rather have a Super Duty.
