the 4 on the right (I didn't pull the one on the left by itself) I belive are different antenna connections. Thanks for the Vehicle info -- yes, have had to replace a couple and install for some aftermarket items at the shop.
I pulled part of my dash out (for another project) and took a photo of the rear of the head unit for you .. Unable to actually confirm the connections as mine goes into that fat harness and not able to trace it out properly today. As you can see, though, the "TAB" on the red connector is physically larger than the rest. That White one goes to the Display itself (aka the radio is actually 2 pieces - the Head Unit and the Remote Display (8.4 or 12)).
Maybe we should ask a lawyer? They shouldn't charge us anything (or certainly not as much), because we've already paid for it. My window sticker shows the 360 camera as part of a package that was added to the cost. Then they charge more for the Tow Package but don't show a discount for the three cameras being deleted, so we definitely paid for something we never got..
mirrors, door module for mirrors, central vision processor, front cam and a LOT of labor. This is a great thread. I am thinking of adding the 360 camera and folding mirrors in. So, I already have lane departure, active cruise, rear tailgate camera, and 12 inch display. How complex will it be to add the 360 view. I figured the most expensive part is adding the mirrors.
I am new to this forum looking forward to creating my account in detail and upgrade my ram 2500! I have laramie 2500 cummins and didnt see I didnt get the 360 camera until after.. I am electrician on the side and a controls(electrical) tech at my work. The labor isnt my worry, is it possible to do this myself? I have folding mirrors. Mainly want the 360 view or birds eye view. From what I'm reading g it's a camera module I install thatll send the camera signals for all cameras in through the one connection. I also would like to eventually add the tow camera which I think I can just buy from mopar according to my researchmirrors, door module for mirrors, central vision processor, front cam and a LOT of labor.
I would expect also a bit of work on the alfaobd end of things.
Start back around post #130... looks complicated as all get out. I read 4 pages and it only seems one guy has submitted proof he got it done.Anyone succeded adding the front or 360 camera?
thanks
This is becoming more of a sad realization. I had hopes this would be an easy upgrade.Start back around post #130... looks complicated as all get out. I read 4 pages and it only seems one guy has submitted proof he got it done.
I think I’d rather just buy a 2021 with it!
Maybe by 2021 they will give the hemi a power boost to stay competetive with Ferd and GM, and fix the ac blend door and the forward camera. I’d think theres a few other tsb’s that will be incorporated by then as well. This is becoming more of a sad realization. I had hopes this would be an easy upgrade.
Does anyone know if the surroundview cameras can be recalibrated by the dealer? My front camera since I leveled my front end and my rear camera since they replaced my rear handle under warranty are both skewed a little.
Can u please provide list of parts you added and where did get the partsI just finished installing all the hardware in my 2019 2500 tradesman. I can individually access all the cameras, I have trailer view, etc, but the truck refuses to give me the actual 360 view. I enabled everything I need to enable in Alfaobd, and whenever I try to calibrate the 360 system the front camera always fails. Don't know if anyone here can help get over this last stupid hurdle.
