Do you happen to have pictures of the cvpm behind the passengers kick panel? Im looking to see where the power harness comes from. I see your truck has the 360 surround view option. if you can get some pictures of that area fo me that would be awesome.

Are you asking him about the stock harness?
The "power" harness comes from a larger harness behind the module (see attached)

So the power harness is part of the body wire harness? It says that the cvpm gets power from a fuse protected relay within the interior Power Distribution Center ( PDC).
I was hoping to see if it was a separate wire harness going to the power distribution center.
I have learned that I have the 15 fuse in that location in the PDC According to the users manual. “F49”

Did you happen to see if the pink camera cable leads up behind the cvpm plugs into a yellow plug? It’s located behind the cvpm top left side. It a little hard to see when the cvpm is in its place.

thank you. much appreciated.

It COULD .. but mine isn't set up like that (since it is from the factory). My PINK one goes into the harness right there so I can't see where it goes unless I disconnect and ohm out the line (and it is snowing out, so not gonna do that LOL).

Mine looks like a White end is connected to that yellow end where your's is showing a Black end. Hook it up, can't hurt if it is a camera connection to the radio .. they say RED but is suuuure looks more "PINK" to me :)

Thank you for your efforts. I did find out that the yellow one in the picture leads back to the rear of truck and goes up to the rear brake light . It’s not plugged into anything. Maybe it’s a camera plug for the cargo bed camera like the HD trucks have. But not sure why it’s their.
I have two more camera cables ordered waiting on them to arrive. I may end up at the dealer and nag the parts department for help.

Ok .. was thinking that was the fiber-optic line to the antenna.

I'll see if my captures have the what-is-what on that side and post up images. (coulda sworn my Yellow back by the 3rd brake light was the SAT/SIRIUSXM cuz it stopped working on a rig that we forgot to reconect)

I went today to 2 dealerships. One just didn't wanted anything to do with me. The second one really tried to help but couldn't find what I was looking for. He was showing me the screen he was looking at. I received 2 more camera cables that I ordered. (Pictured) but still in need for more pieces.

Here is what I have found online. This is where the front "green" cable leads too. It's behind the driver side head light. So now I need to find out what cable (part number) connects from that end to the Jumper wire that is connected to the front camera. 1581726728505.png 1581726833439.png

This thread was one great read. I personally would have done the same as the final result here, just sell that truck and get one with the feature wanted. Then, maybe figure out a way to extend the mirrors, maybe by fitting on the parts into the trailer mirror with like drilling holes for the cameras or something like that. I personally don't need that though, heck even the 3 horse monster trailer I have is not so wide it needed extended mirrors.

CVPM (is in the passenger kick panel - it is the black box with the 5 "fiber optic" connectors)
Requires Programming by your local tech - and have the proper Sales Code added
FCA calls the "Pink" Connector "Violet" and goes to C13 on back of radio

Gonna try to get out and pull my CVPM for you today to look at that connector since it is at least above 40* out :)
- but remember, I have the Premium 2 "HK" system .. don't remember if you told me what you had (and your signature line is empty).

The below is not showing the 1st connector on the left (aka GREEN aka FRONT CAMERA)

2019 Ram 1500 Longhorn Crew Cab, 5.7 eTorque 4x4 8-speed, automatic, 3.98 rear axle,
5.5 Box, Air Suspension,Panoramic Sunroof,Advance Safety Group,Level 1 Equipment Group.
I do have the HK system as well. If you do take out the cvpm do not drop it. It says Do not use if dropped. There is one bolt at bottom right that is removed then you just pull at the top right. It has push pin that doesn't need to be removed. It looks like the power plug is part of the body harness. So I think I will have to get a harness made up for that. the body harness is over $700.00. not going that route.

Thanks for the Vehicle info -- yes, have had to replace a couple and install for some aftermarket items at the shop.

I pulled part of my dash out (for another project) and took a photo of the rear of the head unit for you .. Unable to actually confirm the connections as mine goes into that fat harness and not able to trace it out properly today. As you can see, though, the "TAB" on the red connector is physically larger than the rest. That White one goes to the Display itself (aka the radio is actually 2 pieces - the Head Unit and the Remote Display (8.4 or 12)).

Here is the back of mine for comparison. Looks the same. Can you get a picture of the wires to reference of what color wire goes in what pin location?

That is the connector I mentioned which goes into the larger harness down towards the driver's seat.

The CAN IHS connector has the following :

1581860000002.png

Chould be a GREEN connector at the CAN IHS BODY (C9) Driver's Side under dash
