Ram Cares
This ram cares is a bunch of Patronizing nonsense. Adds nothing, helps nothing. I got a letter from the arbitrator. The dealership says there is no issue/cant duplicate. Although the off idle shudder was felt by the service manager. And yes under load, stop and go traffic the shudder gets much worse. To compound, this 'acceleration' on slowing down I thing is the transmission not going into first until you come to a full stop and back off the brake. Perhaps after someone runs into a car ahead of them , they will look at it. This documents the issue.
One other thing, if you are a two foot driver, most old mechanics are, you have to drive one foot. This trans/computer does not like you even touching the brake if on the gas. the computer cant deal with it. My 2013 trans was marvelous in my old RAM. This thing is as finicky as it gets. I have one more try at the dealer, going to leave it for a few days . If no resolution, then I live with it, or unload it.

Update. Been at delear for couple days, ordered a new rear drive shaft. Apparently there was rust inside mine that was making it bind up. Will see if that really fixes it or if it comes back as others have stated.

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with getting this resolved. Just bought my first Ram product. 2019 Big Horn 1500 with 10K miles. Of course I didn't notice the problem during the test drive, but a couple hundred miles later this issue is very noticeable. I hope to get it to the dealer in the next few days to see what they say. Thanks

Body mounts replaced and properly torqued by dealer fixed mine

Sorry wrong issue. For that issue a new rear drive shaft has so far fixed mine. 1000 miles since it was replaced and has not returned.

How many auto manufacturers seed reps into forums to identify and (hopefully) resolve owner issues? I haven't seen many. Kudos to Ram.

Okay so this issue has cane back. Started a few weeks back and has gotten worse. Its been about 12k miles since they "fiixed" it with a new driveshaft. Really shouldn't have to put a new driveshaft on every 12k or so miles. Last time they told ne it had rust inside it that was making it bind up when i would stop. Would be very weird to have rust do this 2x. Seems like something else. Ginna try to schedule with dealer. Hopefully bc they have already tried to fix it it gets expedited bc i think it was a week or so last time in the shop.

My 2020 has been doing this same exact “bump” since about 1800 miles. Has 3500 miles on it now. Doesn’t happen after every single stop but does at least 75% of the time. It’s very annoying and for what these trucks cost, you shouldn’t feel a bump when letting off of the brakes from a stop.

My longhorn with 26K mi does it too. I have an appt on the 14th, and I'll bring some of these posts with me. Keeping fingers crossed.

Hoping you can point me in the right direction. Just bought the new 5th GEN 2020 ram 1500 Big Horn 5.7 hemi with etorque. I noticed when accelerating from a stop I feel a Shutterfly vibration. At first I thought it possibly had to do with me towing my trailer but noticed it happens whether I am hitched up or not. I went onto Google and ask the question and it put me onto this forum. I have now also registered with this forum.
possible you can point me in the right direction and if anybody has had this problem with the new 2020 ram could let me know what the outcome was would be appreciated.

Interesting.... mine does this as well. I also have the surging when I leave my driveway, seems to only be when the truck is cold. I chalked it up to mine being lowered but it seems like this is a common issue across the board.

Add my name/ truck to the list with this problem. Currently have 3,700 miles, started about 1000 miles ago. Awesome!

Glad I found this forum site, I have the same issue and have brought mine to 2 different dealers so far. They perform software updates but no improvements. Was starting to think I was being to nitpicky but now I see this is a widespread problem. Hopefully someone here gets it resolved so the rest of us can instruct the dealers how to fix it
