Captain Tolley's worked for me. Had a small leak in the upper corner of my replacement window on the drivers side. It would only leak during major downpours. I pulled off the interior trim and could see a droplet form where the glue met the frame.

At any rate I put this milky stuff into a syringe and from the inside of the cab applied small drops to the spot where it was leaking. Capillary action sucked up the glue immediately. After allowing to dry and 2 or 3 more applications there wasn't anymore capillary action.

Has anyone had an issue where their VIN the dealer says their VIN indicates they aren't eligible for the repair at the dealership, but they appear to meet the requirements from the TSB?

Or maybe can look and see what I'm missing (maybe I'm not covered?)

The TSB says:

  1. I have a 2020 Laramie
  2. I have a rear power sliding window
  3. I have a DATE OF MFR (BUILT) stamp of 8-20 (built in August 2020, right?)
  4. I clearly have the crack that's pictured in the TSB on the interior of my window, along with the water leakage

I've been to 2 dealerships, they say my VIN isn't covered by the rear window replacement even though I appear to meet the criteria for "Vehicles affected"
Yes, there is an issue with not all trucks being added. Your dealer needs to contact their rep to get the coverage added and/or get ok to do repair. We have had 2 at our dealer that we have had to get rep involved with.

Hi geotex1,
We regret to hear of your experience and would be happy to get a case escalated for you regarding your concern. If you decide to have your dealer address this, please send us a private message and we would be happy to get this process started for you!

I'd like to have my dealer address this. Same issue as everyone else is having and not

Are those from Ram or from your service center? Can I use those to get my new window assembly swapped out at my dealer under warranty?

Just got two letters in the mail today (unfortunately for my 2019 Ram, which I don't have anymore) from FCA extending the warranty on the 3rd brake light to 10 yrs 150000 miles, and the rear window to 8 yrs 150000 miles, so it appears they are trying to do the right thing .

I believe they were originally posted by Cbty2050, a Ram mechanic. If you click the links, you can see they are the TSBs from Stellantis.

Yes, I literally got mine in the mail the day after I posted this and a day after I scheduled my service. Perfect timing! Will let everyone know how it plays out. Service date is 12/12.

So, I am on replacement window number 2 and it's been cold the last few mornings and I noticed my defroster is not working on the right glass, center and left side glass working. Ugh....

Not sure if I want to have them replace it again or just deal with it...

Watched this guy seal on top of the sliding window. Hard to tell if his frame is cracked tho. Would this prevent water coming in if the frame cracks?

If the window frame is cracked, the water will get in from the small cracks above the sliding window...

They said it qualified to be repaired for free?
