That s terrible. what's with Ram? My first Ram and I m worried about my 2024 rear window already. They never updated that window and frame?

That might be great information. If you have more information on new and old part # maybe posting will help someone and clear up all the guessing. We would like to see the changes which might help someone looking to do a DIY repair. I also wonder if a replacement get the new part on an older year truck???? Thanks!!Yes it was updated and a new part number. Your 2024 will have the new version

They redesigned the rear window in June or July last year. You probably have to go back 10 pages to find the post where the person noticed the new design, due to how long this thread has become. That was a replacement, being different than his original. I would assume they started using them on the line, about the same time. That s terrible. what's with Ram? exactly!Permatex it and be done with it...
Never fix these things yourself. You paid too much money for these trucks and if you fix it yourself Ram will never fix it in future trucks
Not to mention the damage they will do to the rest of the truck while it is getting replaced. Hell naw. I fixed it myself while giving the stealership the middle fingerHave fun with your multiple trips to the dealer and possible multiple window replacements. Permatex is $7.69 on Amazon and 15 minutes of your time.
I spend about an hour each way going to the dealer, so I only go for major things that are worth paying my MaxCare deductible on.
Some items, sure (like my F150s frozen door latches). But on something you can fix in 15 minutes and for less than $10...

Final thoughts fellas,Yep, it will leak.... I have a 2019 Limited 44k, cracked and leaking. It seems every problem out there with this truck I seem to have and of course the dealer won't do anything. Love the truck, but sadly this will be my 1st and last Ram.
Final thoughts fellas,
I have had an exhaust leak since I bought my truck 4 years ago. no dealer has ever fix.....have rough idle since new.. never fix...rear brakes are loud as hell when backing up since new... never fixed. AC blows blows at best 50 degrees and cant keep my truck cool.... never fixed..... My rear window starting leaking and I had to fight Ram and move to Ramcares to fix it at 44 k miles..... now at 86 k leaking again... Rear defrost doesn't work, likely shorting out due to leak. I will hold my breath and fix these things myself or trade it in "not at a RAM dealer"..... dealer never finds anything wrong after I waste a ton of time and go with out a vehicle. I wanted to love this vehicle... wish it was made by a Japanese company. Won't ever buy a Ram/Stellantis product again.... ever... ever! I'll keep the 65k-85k to burn in a firepit before I give that money to Stellantis. Do yourself favor, as much as you may like RAM products don't buy one unless you you have lots of time to fix things constantly, want to throw money away, or waste your time being gaslite by dealerships on the countless issues. Just my 2 cents..... one more thing.... leaving the V8 platform is going to completely kill RAMs customer base.... whatever customers are left that is. How many problems will a more complex turbocharged engine platform introduce to these vehicles? Ram what are you thinking?
I'm glad you had good luck... Like I said wanted to love the truck and would have considered buying a 6.7 2500. Sister In Law had a 2022 3500 and had problems. My friend had a 2500 and had problems. Sadly Ur never getting a fully deck out Limited 4x4 truck new for anywhere close to 39k in 2024. These prices are just to high to gamble with have so many little issues. My Nissan truck ran 240k with zero issues over 13 years.... Maybe I was lucky. All I did was change the oil and the truck was less that 30k. Ram has no excuses here. Honestly I wouldn't have minded any one of the problems, I just wanted dealers to fix warrant or not.. just doesn't seem like they want to do that.... After wasting my time.Sucks you are going through that, but I have had the opposite experience. I bought brand new a 2019 RAM Rebel for 25% off MSRP, paid $39,000 for it. And in that 5 years of ownerships I haven't had a single issue that made me go back to the dealership. I'm still on my original battery in fact.
I've owned probably over 10 brand new cars (20 if you include purchased used) in my lifetime so far, and this RAM has probably been my most trouble free vehicle. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand the dealership network, they don't answer phone calls and I don't trust them to do anything, which is why I do my own oil changes, so not all roses.
I'm sure we are both in the extreme ends of the spectrum of RAM ownership and everyone else is in the middle somewhere.
I'm

If you say so. So many people said the same about Toyota too.leaving the V8 platform is going to completely kill RAMs customer base....
That's the plan... And they still make v8s.If you say so. So many people said the same about Toyota too.
How about walk away, go get a new Nissan truck that costs you nothing over 240k miles(other than oil changes ).
Good luck with that....That's the plan... And they still make v8s.
