Rear window leak

I'm having the same issue on my 2019 Ram 1500 Sport. Ram "cares" is arguing that because the car is from Canada the warranty is voided, they refuse to help at all. I'm not sure why that should matter when it comes to a manufacturing defect! This is something that should be taken care of outside of warranty anyway since Ram is at fault. It's ok though ill drive my $50,000 truck with soaked carpets :)

From what I've read, the warranty is valid in the country in which it was originally sold. So if it was originally sold in Canada, and it's still within the 3 year 36k mile limits, the warranty would still be valid if you took it to a Canadian dealership to be worked on.

My 2020 Ram had the same issue, was covered under warranty. Replaced the back window (frame?) And now the replacement is one is leaking. Should have spent the extra money and got the Toyota Tundra. Back to the dealer on Monday to see what they are going to do.
I tried sealing mine but ran out of sealant and it's still leaking. I'm consider just paying to have it replaced but it looks like that might not even fix it for good. I might just get a new truck

I feel your discouragement from this, it’s a really annoying issue but that being said those who have sealed the rear window have not had leaking issues. That being said, If you sealed the entire window and it’s still leaking it may be the 3rd brake light seal leaking.

@ScottWin any update on your window? I curious when they initially replaced your window, the part number for the rear window was superseded sometime during the 2021 model year I believe, I wonder if the window they replaced yours with had the new part number or the old number known to crack.

Seal everything. Top of window, brake light and shark fin. There are no other penetrations in the roof for water to gain access. It’s stupid that we have to do this on new trucks but it’s worth the effort to resolve the annoying issue.
I had two coworkers ride with me for 8hrs to a bird hunt and they both repeatedly commented how amazing the ride is in my ram and how nice the interior is(Laramie). They both drive a comparable Sierrra, F-150(work), and Tundra.

I just bought my 2019 RAM 3 weeks ago. Thankfully it was raining really hard that day, and I noticed the rear window trim cracked, and it was leaking in water. The dealer had a 2 week wait time for an appointment, so I just brought it in today. I'm still under the 3-Month/3000 Mile warranty, so I'm really hoping they just replace the entire window, and not try try the "It's the 3rd brake light, we replaced it and now it's fixed," just to cross over the 3/3 and end up having to front the cost of the window. The leak is not that bad yet, but it's really annoying to have it leak even after hand washing the truck.

break your antenna off of the window and take it in. Then they have no choice but to replace the back window.

Update: They are keeping my RAM over night. They are having issues trying to find where the leak is coming from. Window seal or brake light. I feel like the dealers have gotten enough of these to know it's most likely the window seal. The plastic trim is cracked, and water streams down said crack. Hopefully tomorrow will have better results!

I have the same issue with my 2019 RAM Bighorn. Cracked rear window trim and leaking water pretty badly. Extended ASC warranty will not cover it. 60k miles.

My 2020 Laramie is doing this for the second time now. I just had the rear windshield replaced last year for this issue

My 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie with only 28k miles is leaking water from the rear window. Basic warranty has expired and no help. This should not be happening to these trucks. Ram (Chrysler) needs to step up and help their customers. They know this is a problem.

Mine started leaking that week. Where is the shark fin?
