Just had the readylift sst 3.5 inch lift installed on my Laramie with ORP. Shop that installed it said no problems. Does anyone know why readylift recommends not installing the spacer? View attachment 8325
What is your measurement on front? Center of wheel to fender? I have a 19 rebel with the orp and full 3.5 sst readylift. (Preload and top hat installed) and measure 26" all 4 corners. Hearing all this mixed info I am taking my truck back to dealer to have a 2nd look. I do notice my lca and steering knuckle smash at full lock now...do you have same issue? Readylift said that is normal....

RAMowners, i'm planning to order SST 3.5 liftkit for my 2019 REBEL.
But I can't understand what is "preload spacer"?
"1" or "2" on the picture?
Thanks for your answer.

@
#1 is the preload spacer. Here’s a link to an article on a Toyota forum to help explain

I wanted to get some more information out as I have done some research on this and there is a lot of confusion on this subject. I purchased a Readylift 3.5" SST lift kit for my 2019 Ram Laramie Sport with off road package. The kit says it fits all Ram 1500's except ones with the air suspension. This may not be the case. I had my already dropped off to the 4WD shop to start the lift when I came across some information on this sight. I was given some good information from another member here that made me hold up the install so I can talk directly to Readylift.
I contacted Readylifts technical service department as soon as they opened. Readylift was very easy to get a hold of, as I talked to them three different times in under an hour. I appreciated the technical support.
I was told that they just recently installed this kit on a customer's truck with the offroad package and that it fit without any issues. They assured me that it should work on the offroad pkg trucks just fine, but then asked me to verify the dimension from the center of the wheel to the wheel well opening. If this distance exceeds 22" then they recommended that I do not install the pre-load spacer into the strut. I measured mine and it was 23.25" (this was after they claimed the truck they had in the shop was only 22"). As a result, I did not have the pre-load spacer installed. All other parts were used.
My truck with the offroad package was taller than I thought it would be and truly has a 1" lift from the factory. I have a few pics that I'll attach for reference of before and after the lift, as well as what the half shaft angle looks. The truck still has the stock tires and wheels, which will not be on after today. Here's a quick recap

* If your truck has more than 22" from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the wheel well opening, DO NOT INSTALL THE PRE-LOAD SPACER. My truck measured 23.25"
* All other components can be used.
* This basically gives you a 2" lift in the front and a 2" lift in the rear. Your rake will still be present
* My truck stance measures (with factory tires). Measurement shown is from ground to the wheel well opening:

Stock Front : 38"
Stock Rear: 40"
Lifted Front: 39.5"-40" Everytime I measure, it seems slightly different ( this is without the preload spacer installed)
Lifted Rear: 41.75"

The truck rides completely like stock and the rake is tolerable to me. I could always put a smaller rear spacer in to level out more.
I was happy with the feedback from Readylift but very disappointed that they do not have this information readily available or listed on their website. I am also disappointed that I purchased a full kit and could not use it. They also are unwilling to credit me anything back for the unused pre-load spacer. Overall, It still is a good kit and the truck looks and rides great. I hope this helps anyone else in the same situation.
So what your saying is that the pre load itself gives a 1.5 lift

Pretty much.
Well I did not find the thread until after the 3.5” lift had been installed on my north edition big horn noticed a bit of rougher ride just measured huh to fender well and I’m measuring 26” even both sides. Wondering if I might need to have them take preload off or not

There are quite a few people who are running them without issues. You can always call readylift and talk to a technician, they are helpful and pretty knowledgeable. This kit has been out for a while now, so they should have some usable data. I wanted to be on the safe side and chose to stay in their recommendations. If the truck still rides and handles well and your half shaft angles look good, you are probably fine with leaving it as is.

Thank you all for the great information!
So...If I measure center of wheel to fender lip, but I already have larger tires on (34" Falken Wildpeaks), will that screw up the measurement so I know whether to install the spacer in the front? I have the North Edition with the 1" factory lift.

Also....anyone use the Tufftruck 1211 with the Readylift kit---do they fit??

The larger tires would change the distance from ground to wheel well lip but should not affect the center of hub to wheel distance if I am thinking correctly.

Can’t tell there’s rake. Looks awesome dude. This is exactly what I want to do. Good info. Mines the billet silver so I’m glad I can see the finished product.

I measured 22 in front so Im hoping for the best. Get my lift done on Friday Ill post when its done. Readylift 3.5, 35 BF ko2s on fuel anza 20s
Marty,

I have a REBEL too and have ordered the Ready Lift SST 3.5. There is a lot of talk from people at Ready Lift about the REBEL and ORP Rams and their factory lift. I have measured mine and like yours, it’s 22”. Did you do the whole kit with the preload spacer? I was advised by them to only to the top spacer. Your truck looks leveled so I am thinking you did. How does it ride? Is there any rubbing? I am putting 20x10.s -18 with 35x12.5x20’s. I really want the extra lift in the front but hate that the whole kit takes out the rake.

I have the offroad group as well and am looking to use this kit. I do however want to get rid of the rake and level it out.(I'm going to get the Loadlifter 5000 to fix any sag from loads) My question is would it be better to add a smaller preload spacer to the front than the kit comes with to bring the front up or to use a smaller rear spacer to bring the back down? Is there any negative effects from bringing the front up with the kit? I'm not sure why they wouldn't just list a slightly cheaper kit without the preload spacer for trucks with the ORG.

You could definitely use a smaller rear spacer as you can typically buy these in any size you want. If you want to get rid of the rake and can’t lift the front with the pre load spacer, that would be a good option. I thought about doing this as well, but with the towing I do, I prefer the rake.

When I received the Readilift kit 3.5 about six month ago and got acquainted with it, I did not like the solution from the ReadyLift for the front.
I installed it but with some changes. At front, I did not install both (preload-spacers and second lift spacers) from ReadyLift kit.
I ordered and installed another spacer.:
2.5" LEVELING LIFT KIT:

At rear - spacers from ReadyLift kit.

Now the height difference front/rear is 3 cm (rear higher). It suits me and looks balanced. I dont like if the front is higher or same than the rear). The ride is comfortable.

My ORP measures 23.5” on the front and 24.5” on the rear. I do only have 350 miles on it, but it was built 3 months ago should that should be enough time to settle pre-wear. I really want to get my truck level +1” more in the rear. Looks like I’ll be forgoing the SST Kit.

MaxKZ could you clarify a couple things for me?

1) For the first 6 months, did you install the ReadyLift Kit originally with the included pre-load and secondary spacer or were you saying you had the kit, sat on it for a while and then when you got around to installing you went with the Motofab spacer?
2) To clarify the end result, you had only the Motofab spacer (no spacers from ReadyLift. Is this correct?

Lastly, can you comment further about the ride (especially if #1 above you first used the ReadyLift spacers before going with the Motofab spacer)? I read several reviews on Amazon for the ReadyLift that it made the ride VERY STIFF.

I received the ReadyLift kit, but did not install it, because I did not want to install the preload spacers (it seemed to me that this would increase the hardness of the front suspension). Immediately ordered a spacers from motofab. And only then installed everything.

So, now installed:
Front:
- ReadyLift control arms
- MotoFab spacers.
Rear:
- All spacers from ReadiLift Kit.
