So I got up today hopped in the truck on the way to drop it off at the dealership and as soon as I left the house my dash says trailer blind spot enabled the only problem is I didn’t have a trailer hooked up to it. The trailer light stayed on the dash the whole way to the dealership and the service manager was able to see it. 4 hours later I get a call from the same service manager saying my truck was done but due to the technician not able to recreate any of the issues and it not having any kind of software update there wasn’t anything they could do or go off of. He stated that if it was to malfunction again to try and take it right back just as I did this last time so I’m not sure what will be different next time. So in all today was a complete wast of time and my truck still hasn’t had any of the issues addressed.

I am incredibly sorry to hear this update, @20Ram350020. Would you mind following up with me via private message to provide your VIN and contact info? I would like to get a case escalated on your behalf for further support on this!

Sorry new to the group and I’m not sure how to send a private message. Thought those last two I sent were directly to you.

Finally heard back from the dealer after 2+ weeks and me having to call regularly and send 6 emails following up! In one breath he says it is considered “normal operation” but in the next he says there still is no fix in place but they might be working on something..

Glad I came across this thread. I thought I was going nuts and just hearing weird noises. Hope there is a fix soon.

Is there a thread that addresses all of the fixes for the random issues people have had with their trucks.

I'm a new 2020 Ram Limited owner and mine is doing this same random blower noise issue at highway speeds. It sounds like a loud blowing air noise coming from the passenger side. It stopped when I shut off the climate control. I plan to try hitting the recirculate button next time to see if it makes it go away. This is the type of noise that will drive me nuts. I sure hope Ram figures this out soon. I plan to discuss with my dealer when I take it in for the first oil change. Based on this forum thread...sounds like no fix is available yet.

I am not suggesting you replace it but on my wires 2011 Durango the blower motor made a noise at low speeds, was super easy to replace. try varying the speeds, if the noise changes with different fan speeds its probably the blower motor. (took me 10 minutes to change it out). Regardless just go to the dealer.

Yep. You have to cycle the recirc button to make it stop. Drives me absolutely nuts

I'll try that next time it occurs. I've never seen anything like this in any other brand vehicle...sure hope Ram can find a solution.

So at least its a super easy repair. Took me 10 minutes, should take a dealer with wait time etc, an hour or so :)

There isnt a fix at this point. It’s a servo position issue with the programming.
What did the dealer do for you?

Mark ~
I haven't yet addressed this concern with my dealer. I think that would be the first step. It sounds as though this issue has been addressed multiple times by others to no real resolution. Apparently the Gen 5 Ram's have AC system issues that haven't been fully addressed by the factory. The challenge I will have is duplicating the random issue for the service folks at the dealer. The research I've done so far points to some sort of issue with the recirculating air door system up under the passenger side dash. Must be a issue with programming of actuator that opens/closes the recirculate door. Most people that have this issue report the noise will stop if you hit the recirculate button on the dash. It would be awesome if you can confirm that Ram is aware of this concern and is already working on a resolution...can you?

Thank you for taking the time to follow up. As our team works with customer vehicle concerns on a case by case basis, I am unfortunately unable to speculate on this inquiry. However, I would be more than happy to ensure that you are connected with a case specialist so that this is documented and so that your specialist can work alongside you and the dealership in exhausting all available resources to have the concern addressed and resolved.

We are always a private message away.

Ok, glad to know I'm not crazy. Have less than 1,000 miles on my new Ram and this happened multiple times on a road trip last Friday. I thought somehow Ram had figured out a way to turn the blower up on the passenger side to accommodate my hot wife. :ROFLMAO:

Mark,
Can You send me the contact info for a different case specialist as well? Sounds like the only way to get any sort of help on this is to inundate them with requests to have it fixed.

Taking the trucks to a dealer is waste of our time and the dealerships time. They cannot fix it. If they know they can’t fix it, they don’t care. It’s a never ending circle of frustration.

Hi Smon,

I understand your frustration. Unfortunately I do not have this capability, however, if you are willing to send over your case number via PM I would be happy to document a request for a supervisor follow up within your case.

I just got back from a 1,000 mile road trip. A/C did great - no issues with keeping the truck cool!

I had it set on auto - 71-73 degrees for the most part. About every 20-30 minutes or so, it's like a setting changed and it blew air out of the passenger side vents. Not positive where it came from, but it was noticable louder, being able to be heard over the radio. Again, only on the passenger side.

Has anyone else experienced this?
Didn’t know anyone else was experiencing this same thing. Took my truck in today because of a suspected exhaust leak, at 26k miles. Dealer found there was indeed a leak in the exhaust manifold but also notified me that my blower motor was bad. I suspect this is what was causing this issue on my truck. May get them to look into the blower motor on yours.
