Random Blower Motor Noise

Having the same issue as well with A/C recirculating random noise. Has anyone found a solution yet?

I have the same thing going on. Not going as far as saying its an issue. But thought it was a door/air seal leak at first.

Just had a 14 hr road trip and it happened on my limited, too. Air con set on auto. Every 20ish minutes, you could hear a door open and close back up on the passenger side in the dash.

I wonder if the blend door opens to blast the evap coil with hot air as a defrost measure?

Makes sense to me. Sounds like its the vent on the left passenger side.

I also have issues with my air doors. I get loud noises on the passenger side, AC temps change wildly and randomly, if I set it to floor it comes out the defroster, poor AC temps, and I can dear doors moving in the back when things change on their own. For the record, I don't have auto temp or dual zone

Hi cashcar1979,
Please let us know via private message if you decide to have your dealer look into this. We would like to have this documented and have a case escalated in your behalf so a Case Specialist can work with your dealer to help find a potential solution.

thank you. I'll send a PM, but I will plan to take this into my dealer in July. It is very clearly a blower/vent door as the noise immediately stops when I toggle re-circulate air OFF. You can hear a door close when this happens.

Mine does the same and I figure that is normal.

What I'm describing is that during an 8 hour drive for 30 seconds or so, very sporadically, it'll kick something on, on the passenger side and loudly blow/move air.
Yes mine does something similar and it seems that the temperature and or humidity also goes up temporarily... if I turn the AC off and turn it back on or change it from Max to normal or change it from recirc to no recirc it seems to stop..... also seems to be more wind noise around the right side windows when this occurs but I may be hearing air blowing through the vents and I just think it's coming from the windows

Exact same thing here.

Do any of you experiencing this issue have ceramic front windshield tint installed? My dealer is blaming the issue on this, but I believe the issue to have occurred prior to this tint install. They claim the tint is interfering with the solar gauge on the dash.

I don't think it's an issue. But yes my front windshield does have some tint.

This MAY be programmed into the HVAC module. The reason why is that leaving on recirculate for long periods of time can make the air in the ****pit stale and possibly create drowsiness too since today many cars have nearly air tight cabins or they let in almost no fresh air with the windows rolled up and HVAC on recirc.

What does a dash solar gauge do?

He means the sun load sensor. When the sun hits the sensor it usually ramps up the fan speed closes the recirc door or changes the blend door to a colder temp to maintain the set temp.
It’s basically a sensor for the HVAC system that uses sunlight to change the system. Pretty much every car with auto HVAC has one on the dash.

Same occasional increased fan noise from the passenger side. I do not have window tinting and never use the system in auto so that is not a factor. I also never use use the recirculate button either.

Just noticed this for the first time on a 1.5 hour trip. Going to monitor to see if it was an oddity due to the weather or humidity in the cabin.

This is driving me nuts, I do a lot of long distance highway driving and it is every 15 mins... anyone get an answer from a dealership. I’ll be honest, I would not have bought the thing had I known it was going to do this... these little things drive me nuts. I’ve owned 25 cars... never seen anything like this.

Can we just confirm that this behavior is normal without all of us having to go to a dealer?
