Ordered my Limited on June 5th and this will be my first Ram. Got it for $51,800 before any rebates available at time of delivery. Now for the long wait....

I thought I had heard early on that FCA was limiting the colors that could be ordered at the beginning of production? Did your dealer give you an order number?
Just got the order number today....D1 like everyone else. Shows estimated ship date as June 23. The VON is 41887829.

welp, my world won. Asked my dealer, he said no, ACC is not standard. The website says it is (which is what I was going off) and I just talked to one of the best ram chat people (@RamCares, give Michael a raise) ever and he confirmed that ACC and the options that go with Advance Safety Package are not standard like the website says. Bad news, my order is now obsolete as pretty much the only reason im upgrading is for ACC. Good news....time to search for Limiteds on the lot.

Hi alwi228,
I am glad you've reached out with this. The chat advisor you spoke with was correct. This would be considered an optional package. I have forwarded this along to the appropriate teams who will make sure that the website accurately reflects this information. I apologize for any previous confusion!

Ordered my Laramie Black Appearance Package last Thursday and still don't have a VIN number. Is this a normal timeline? Looking on this site it seems that most people got one in 2 days.

I ordered on a Thursday, had my VIN on Monday. Do you have a vehicle order number?

My dealer told me it could be two days to two weeks, as I was ordering just before Memorial Day. I had it within a week or so.

Ask you dealer for the VON number...that is the "proof" that they ordered it and you can use that number to check with Ram customer care on order status (they can probably even give you the VIN but I'm not sure)
Thank you. Just reached out to dealer for VON.

As 202snowman states and they will give you the VIN number. May ask some questions to verify you are who you say.

Got the VON from Dealer. Went to online Chat to get update and they said it might be too new and it's not in the system. I've received nothing about the VIN number....is there a different place to check instead of Online Chat?

You can call them at 866-726-4636

You can also pay $25 and go on Jeep Garage Forum and they will give you WAY more detailed info on tracking your truck an they update you several times a day.

I just called Customer Care and they said the vehicle isn't in their system yet and can take up to 4 weeks. This just seems weird so I've asked my dealer to investigate...

It is weird and just isn't right. I would not pay a penny for a Jeep Garage membership when I have a dealer to this for me. If you have a VON number than its in the system. My suspicions are that the dealer did not order it for you but for the dealership. Have them produce a copy of the POC with you as the Sold Order owner. When you have this info let us know and someone on this forum will point you in the right direction. When you are 100% sure the vehicle has been ordered in your name then if you think its worth the money, join. Keep in mind the members that pay this fee to another forum are not getting their vehicles any faster than non members. Just putting themselves through more hell waiting for it!

It is normal for your truck not be able to be tracked right away or for awhile. May take a few days but most of the time they say weeks. I would bet the order is placed. I enjoy watching the process more detailed then what the dealer will tell you and the online chat thats why Jeep Garage is nice and many members here use it. Also, sometimes VON number isn't made available for a few days too. Of course paying the $25 (fee) isn't going to make anything faster but does provide way more details on a daily basis.

It is NOT normal for your truck not to be in the system instantly once a VON is generated. This means when you call Ram they have to show it on their respective computers if the order was placed in your name. The VIN may take a day or two but thats it. Trust me I'm on my 5th build and know enough about the system to keep from misleading you. Your dealer also can tell you exactly what Jeep Garage can, to the point of what rail yard its sitting in at the moment if this info is requested by you when the truck is built and on its way.

It is normal for a VON sometimes to take a few days to be "produced." Congrats on your 5th build. I knew a few things too :)

I'm wondering if they ordered it as a dealer item? I never got a POC, but rather just the Configuration Builder sheet. On the bottom it states a 1- Sold Order and Type of Retail....I have messages into the dealer to confirm.
