Just a thought, how long do you plan to travel or are you planning residence here. If you are buying to just travel and resell you might consider renting a motor home for the travel. If you sell within a few months of purchase there will be a very significant loss of value in both units. You might be able to rent a motor home for less than that amount.
BIAC, welcome and good travels. You homeland is beautiful but we have a variety of places to visit that are probably unmatched anywhere else. Don't keep Canada out of your plans either when you are planning your trip.

Thank you for your suggestion.
we have a visa and can always stay 6 months. we want to do this every year. until we don't feel like it anymore. therefore a purchase is cheaper

2019 Ram 3500 Tradesman Dually Crew w/ 6.4L Hemi w/8ft bed

MSRP $44,500
$36,991 internet price as a result of a custom order that was never actually bought.
By the time I got over to dealership to look at it, the truck had already been sold to another lot. I asked to have another built, for the same price since it was still on their site. GM agreed to the deal, because of the ad.
$38,100 driveout

Stopping by a dealership tomorrow and looking for a Laramie with level 1 and sport package. After the employee discount will the dealers typically negoociate any lower not including any additional rebates?

A few members have mentioned the desire to have a price paid thread so I decided to do one and pin it here so it will be easy for everyone to find.

I think the best way to make this thread is as follows:
MSRP of the specific truck
What Rebates and incentives were applied and $ amounts
Any further negotiations
Final price

Please do not include trade in values, taxes, OTD price or anything like that as those are all variable depending on where you live etc. Rebates and incentives are also regional so also please post up where you purchased the truck and when.

Example:

2016 Ram 1500 Sport

MSRP $64,440
-$10,000 rebate from Ram
-$1000 skilled trades rebate
-$3940 additional negotiated at dealer
=$49,500 paid

Vancouver. B.C August 2016

2019 Ram 1500 Limited V6 with Level 1 Equipment Group and anti-spin axle.
MSRP $62795
Paid $49680 plus $495 doc fee including 0% for 60 months.
Other than the outrageous doc fee nothing to complain about. This was at Joe Cooper Dodge Jeep in Shawnee, OK. Flew there from Reno and got in late at night. They picked me up at my hotel at 800 am and I was in and out within an hour including test drive. They had the vehicle prepped and ready when I got there. They were the closest place with a Limited V6 (only on 2019 Limited now- no longer available on 2020) and indigo/frost interior. Visited with my brother in Colorado Springs, picked up my wife in Denver and skied in Colorado and Salt Lake City on the way home.
I just read that they dropped the price on similar vehicles another $1000 :( So my vehicle would have been $48680 + $495 doc fee.

I thought Limited's didn't have V6 engines as an option. I don't mean to question you, but are you sure it was a Limited?
I was looking for that option myself (prefer fuel efficiency over towing/power).
yes, its the Pentastar V6. Its was extremely hard to find in what was left of the 19's. There was only one in Wisconsin, and then another in Iowa.

When you say dealer fees. Is that doc fee or sale tax and DMV included
If this is OTD price you got a killer deal.
If you are not including sale tax that's what we pay about 9% of MSRP here in Cali. You got a decent deal.
Congrats, enjoy your Rig.

Anyone think they know what incentives and rebates will be in January? Somebody accurately predicted employee pricing last month before it happened. My custom order has been stuck in "D" status for 60 days so trying to decide what to do.

Congrats. I’m also in KC MO. Been doing some research on possibly buying a new ram. Which dealer did you buy it from if you don’t mind me asking.

Lees summit dodge Jeep Ram Chrysler. Dm me if you go out there to buy one I believe we both would get 200 bucks! Stay away from anything on Noland rd! I would try Lee summit, st. Joe or reed on the Kansas state line! Good luck to ya give em hell!
