Preparing to pull the trigger tomorrow but believe I have a good deal with 26% off MSRP before TTL. Had to hunt for quite a while to find it and sacrifice an option or two I wanted.

2019 Limited 4x4 CC 5’-7” box
Granite Crystal

$69,295 MSRP
($13,426) “Savings”
($5,750) “Rebates”
$1,147 Dealer Accessories (aka BS markup)
$51,266 Subtotal (26%)
$280 Fees
$3,582 Sales Tax
$55,128 Total (20.4%)

I’m told this includes all fees, tag transfer and title. But I need to find out how they got to their sales tax amount which is only 6% here in FL plus $250 county sales tax which would total $3,326 using the subtotal figure above.

They tried at first telling me the “dealer accessories” was for window tint, locking lug nuts, bedliner, and a pin stripe. When I explained the trim package included a bedliner and there was no pin stripe, they reduce it by $250 and said they have to make money somehow. Normally I’d be inclined to buy elsewhere out of principle but haven’t found anyone close to their price. Hopefully the final paperwork tomorrow matches up with everything they’ve provided thus far but I wouldn’t put it past them to try and slip something in.

Hello, What Florida dealership? if you dont mind.

Yes, so they tell you to keep with Chrysler Capital for 3 months, but there is no requirement in my experience.
Same here.
My dealer told me six months and when I went to the Chrysler Capital site there was no requirement on time to pay off the loan. I paid it off in two months but could have paid it off the first month if I had read the payment requirements more carefully.

My dealer did suggest paying off all but five payments initially which saves a fair amount of interest, so I did that and payed the remainder the following month.

I did the chrysler capital as well for the $500 off. I qualified for 0 perc interest and got it set up on autopay so I wont miss a payment... There are not any expenses to keeping this loan that are in the fine print that I missed. Are there?

Just needed to vent a bit - got pre-approved through Chrysler Capital for over MSRP. Then spoke to 5 different dealers about a Limited truck over the weekend and today. 5.7, e-torque, rambox, MFT, pano, BCB, etc.. Basically a fully loaded 2020 1500.

There was up to $5.5k difference between low & high estimates for the same configuration. Some dealers took out the destination fee and added it back in later, others ignored the EP pricing completely but gave 0.0% financing for 36 months, and one dealer said they couldn't pull up my application because I did it on the Chrysler site, not their financing site! The other dealer had no problem with it but gave me some crazy rate. Then there's the gamut of documentation fees, advertising fees, window etching and destination/prep fees.

All in all an incredibly frustrating experience in trying to find, negotiate and buy a new truck.

Anyone know of an honest dealer in NJ?

Wishing everyone else a smoother experience. Happy New Year to all!
They are all incredibly frustrating I feel like I started looking for a left over

Taxes in New York put me at like 54472 .....I put $11000 cash down so it was about 43472 financed.

Hello, What Florida dealership? if you dont mind.
Sorry, I should’ve included that. I’m purchasing from Texas and being held responsible for transportation ($750) to Florida. I’ll make another post with final numbers.

Hi all,

I'm new and purchased the following Ram yesterday:

2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Quad Cab Night Edition in Granite Crystal
Lararmie Level 2 Equipment Group and 5.7 with eTorgue
MSRP 54,420
Selling Price $47841
Additional Rebates $6,750
Taxes and Fees $199

I think I did pretty good. Additional rebates include a conquest as I traded in a 2019 F150 that had major and ongoing paint issues.

Hello All,

New to the forum and here’s a quick breakdown of my deal.

2020 Ram 1500 Limited EcoDiesel- Granite Grey, protection group, painted bumpers, bed utility group, level 1 equipment group, 3.92, anti spin diff, EcoDiesel engine, rambox, multifunction tailgate, pano roof, 33 gal tank, and trailer brake.

MSRP $72,800
discounts including incentives $14,500
Selling price $58,300 (20% off)
0% financing for 36 months

Wound up getting a 2020 Laramie instead of the Limited (realized the Laramie was perfect for my needs and didn't need the extra $ for Limited).

MSRP: 56,530
Selling: 48,530
incentives/rebates: 2,000 ( I didn't qualify for a lot of them :( )
total: 46,530
18% discount from MSRP

399 doc fee plus tax (6.65% NJ), title & reg.

got 4.24% from Chase and 6.5% from FCA
I'm sure I could have kept shopping for another $500 or so, but to be honest I found the dealer I liked and felt comfortable with how they presented the deal. And it was only 60 miles from the house :)

Off to get some accessories now - good luck out there!

I am new here, but found this website very helpful in my quest to get a new truck, so I wanted to post up my results:
2019 Longhorn 4x4 non ETorque
White ivory tri-coat, Level 1 package, 3.92 rear end, extended range tank, protection package, locking diff
MSRP: $63,350
Net Sales Price: $48,288
$15,062 off MSRP = 24%
Doc Fees: $157.10
TT&L: $3,321.18
OTD: $51,766.28

No trade, I did not qualify for military or truck conquest, etc.

I gave up $1,000 in rebate to go with 0% interest for 60 months, which is a big savings over the long run for me. Purchased 12/31/19 in Texas. I couldn't find a local dealer to come within $5,000 of this deal so I drove 2 hours to get this one. Coming from a 2007 Tahoe with 255,000 miles this is a big step up for me!

Has anyone figured out these incentives for January? I'm looking for a loaded white limited with ramboxes

OTD: $51,766.28

Congrats, Gulfraider06! We were getting those numbers late last December too.
Two years of price data on these trucks shows that if you can get around 18% off MSRP (OTD/no trade), you’ve got the best deal in your market.

Were in Oklahoma do the dealerships honer there on line prices talked 3 times with 2 dealerships and some how they end up back at MSRP and dont want to give any thing on trade in
i have a 2017 F150 with about $7000 equity and all they want to do is pay mine off and bump up online sale price $5000

I purchased a 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Ecodiesel on Dec 31st. I traded in a 2017 F150 XLT, nice truck but the hard plastic interior just wasn't doing it for me.

MSRP: $63,080
Laramie Group 1
ORG
BUG
Ramboxes
Selling price: $55,355
Rebates: $3000
Trade equity: $4000
OTD price including TTL: $50,847

I probably could've haggled the price lower, but the price I got it for was completely painless and I am happy with the deal. I absolutely love the Laramie compared to the Ford and the EcoDiesel mated to the 8 Speed is awesome. This is my 4th Ram, glad to be back.

I got mine from Bob Moore OKC. Have you checked with them already? If not, I know the sales person I dealt with. Let me know

Thanks

I just bought a 2020 Limited black appearance package at the end of December. Used info from this forum to help my negotiation so sharing my info as well.
MSRP $69,920
Negotiated sale price before TTL: $55,936

So exactly 20% off of MSRP which was where I wanted to be. Dealer also gave me a little more than I was expecting on my trade in so that sale price doesn't have any moving of dollars going on. And the dealer doc fee was only $100 so nothing shady there either. I'm sure buying at the end of the month, and the end of the year worked in my favor for any sales targets the dealer had as the negotiation was very painless. This is my first truck after owning smaller cars and SUVs and so far the RAM has been great.

Bought mine last week, 19 laramie sport 5.7 etorque, 6.4 bed, pearl white, 4x4 quad cab. Window sticker was 62, got employee discount to 53 then tons of other discounts and my trade that had 3k worth of equity, brought it to final price of $42 which was almost exactly what I paid 2 years prior for my 17 laramie 2500.

2020 Limited, demo with 3K miles
MSRP: $68.8K
Price after discount: $55K
Price after military and EP rebates: $53.5K

Didn't want Chrysler Capital rebate due to APR. Value given for my trade was also good, and included free delivery to my house which was 200 miles away.
