Has anyone had experience with Laura ram around St. Louis? I’ve fought with my local dealer for a while and the most they want to do on Laramie is 7500 bucks after all rebates and discounts. Laura has me in the 11-12k after everything how ever I don’t meet some of their regional discounts since they are Missouri and I’m in Arkansas. I’m in south and they are Midwest region. So basically the price Laura wants you to pay I have to add 1,000 to it. I’m trying to see what I should truly be getting off a Laramie sport in the 55k region.

Or is there a dealership in Arkansas that you can recommend me to go to that’s straight forward and not an all day affair splitting hairs

Seems kinda low on the discounts there. I live in GA and the dealer I went to has 1 Laramie 1500 left in stock. They have it listed MSRP for $63,220 and $14K in discounts which takes it to $49,220 so I would say that $7500 isn't enough off relative to what should be going on right now.

Hey man 51k our the door??
Hey Man,

Yea it was out the door and it was in February. 63k msrp. Longhorn was fully loaded, the only things it didn't have was a sunroof or the controllable air suspension. Im sure if you're looking you could probably find a slightly used one online for less.

Hi.....meeting with dealer tomorrow (north NJ) and I'd really appreciate some advice on this asap....

2019 Big Horn 4x4 Quad cab 6'4" bed, 5.7 Hemi with options: Level 1 equipped, Anti spin diff, wheel liners, remote start, deluxe cloth bucket seats, 20 inch chrome clad wheels/tires. MSRP is at $47,000.... all incentives (ending June 3rd) as per Edmunds are about $6000 bringing down to $41,000.

I'm also thinking I can play off that it's a Quad not a Crew Cab (which seems to be the more popular choice now) and that it has no bedliner or sun roof (not that I want one).

Haven't bought a new veh. since my 2003 Ram 5.7 (which I'm still driving) and have been "out of the game" for a long while. So, my question is, how much to low ball the sales guy without looking ridiculous. Would 36500 be a good first offer by me on this or should I go lower or higher than that. THANKS for ANY help!!!

I think you are in the ballpark for $36,500 for what is realistic. That means the deal discount would be $4,500 which is probably a decent deal that the average dealer will commit to. I would push for maybe another $2,500 off bringing dealer discount to $7k but you might be hard press for them to agree to that but hopefully you can settle a little better than $36,500 when the back and forth negotiation ends. Does not hurt to get a couple other quotes from other dealerships to have some more leverage.

Should have my truck tomorrow. Loaded Laramie (they need to travel and get it tomorrow) $64,020 MSRP got it for $53,037. 4200 in rebates and more importantly for other people $6783 off the MSRP. I am sure I could have gotten more off the MSRP if the truck was on their lot.

Need your guys help/opinion. First time Ram buyer.
2019 Ram Big Horn 4x4 5'7" Box:
- Patriot Blue
- V8 NO etorque
- Anti-spin diff
- Level 2 package
- LED package
- Sport Package
- Blind Spot, TB Control, Rear Seat Storage, 3.21, Wheel House Liners

Ram Site= $49,570
Dealer MSRP (Factory order)= $51,405
OTD= Roughly $46k (I laughed when he showed me that) Seems pretty high compared to what I've read on here. They wouldn't budge though so I left.

What do you guys think is fair price? I was thinking closer to $40k OTD if not lower...

Thanks for your response.....a little more digging into it though shows the incentives/rebates that would apply to my purchase would be closer to around $4000.....the $6K figure I quoted that Edmunds returned was for ALL incentives including ones I wouldn't qualify for.....so, in this case the price would drop from$47K to $43K. So...hoping to get it for around $38 K area which I think would be a decent deal.

I didn’t bother with trying to figure out what incentives I qualified for. I got a internet salesman, emailed back and forth in regards to their “up to 12k” discounts and had him guarantee that discount before I would ever touch the lot. My $50,070 MSRP Bighorn dropped to $38,750 before I even started negotiating. Sometimes the dealer themselves have access to rebates not listed on Chrysler website even more so if they are a high volume dealer.

Yeah...it's really confusing....in my case as stated above Edmunds was showing me $6K in rebates/incentives but some didn't even apply to me (like subprime/bad credit borrowers (under 620) get a $500 bonus?? WTF!!?? - rewarding those with bad credit with a bonus...smh).

Anyway, I found the best way is to go to ramtrucks.com and build your exact truck (model w/ all options) and your zip code. You'll get to a summary which will show you the incentives that are available to you based on the truck you selected and your area. The summary also shows the incentives between "buy" vs. "lease" as some are only available whether you are doing one or the other.

Mind if I ask what your final price was and where you're located (state).....it is a 4X4 right?

I’m in GA. Mine isn’t 4x4, but is detailed in my signature. MSRP was $50,070 and initial discounts dropped it to $38,750. I talked them down to $37,000 before ttl and trade in. All in all I financed $39k including extended warranty. They are a volume dealer and had extra discounts/rebates available that other dealers couldn’t match. I had written guarantee of 12k in discounts before I even showed up. Told the salesman that if I showed up and that wasn’t the case I would immediately leave and he stuck to his word. We went back and forth after that and I got tired of it. Wrote $37,000 on his offer sheet, scratched their price out and signed it. They “found” wiggle room in the interest rate which I took but told him it was still $37,000 or I leave. He came back five minutes later to tell me they were sending my new truck to get washed.

Ok thanks.....sounds like if I can get the one I mentioned (4x4) for around $38 or 39 OTD I'd be doing pretty well. BTW...I did look at your sig but it doesn't say 4x2 or 4x4 anywhere which is why I asked to confirm.

I have a quote with a $4200 sales discount from dealer in NJ before rebates.

I suggest starting at $34k to 35k so you have room to negotiate up to your number.

Hope you get a great deal. Please keep us posted.

I just closed on a heavily loaded Laramie in central WI. Here was the breakdown:

MSRP: $59,210

- $5554.00 Dealer discount:
- $1,700.00 Midwest BC Retail Consumer cash (51ck1)
- $1,000.00 Midwest Chrysler Capitol bonus cash (mwck5)
- $0500.00 Chrysler Capitol bonus cash (44ckb3)
- $1000.00 Truck owner conquest cash (38ck5)
- $0500.00 Midwest 2019 Bonus cash (mwcka)
- $0800.00 National Ram LD Select Inventory bonus cash (41ck3)
_____________________________________________________________
Total off MSRP $11,054

Closing price: $48,156.00 (apprx 18% off MSRP)

No trades as that really pollutes many of these posts as I'm certain most are getting raked on the trade value and they are putting some back into the dealer discount to make it look like sparkling deal. Pretty common dealer 4-square mentality. I had an 08 Duramax with a 145,000 miles that I was offered 16k for at the dealer. Sold it outright for $23,500

I'm sure there are better deals then this. I'm sure there are worse deals then this. But this was my deal :)
