Price negotiated from MSRP

Glad you’re the biggest dealer around and claim orders are a deep discount. If that’s the case, you are the first dealer I’ve ever heard of that does this and I have bought more new cars and trucks than the average Joe.

So explained in detail to all the good people on this board exactly what the $7000 rebates are and who can qualify for them. You, I’m sure like all dealers advertise $$$ rebates but those rebates are ALWAYS conditional and not blanket discounts to anyone that walks in your door. You know this.

Further, since your audience here are people from all over the country I seriously doubt the $7k is available to any and all buyers.

What’s the fine print ? IE: residency, state and or county, conquest, etc etc etc.

Give us a breakdown of the $7000.
@Rambo 2024 That's not a claim, it's what we do all day every day. You have probably gotten some fantastic deals over the years. I mentioned in my example that the rebates vary based by region, but our dealer discount does not. That's not a secret, that's how rebates work.
The purpose of the response was not that everyone can get $7K off, it was that ordering can often get you a better deal than an instock, all things being otherwise identical.

But since you asked, here's the breakdown

EVERYONE QUALIFIES FOR:
National Consumer Cash -$4000
Holiday Bonus Cash -$1000
National Bonus Cash -$1500

REGIONAL DIFFERENCSE
Central -$500
South -$1000
West -$750 (Must finance through SFS, not at promo rate)
Midwest & Northeast -$0

Then I said at the end of the post "Then of course if you have Ford conquest, first responder, TDM, or affiliate - all of things can improve your deal for either." Which is still true.... these may be the ones that you were alluding to that were super conditional etc. If I wanted to do that, a Ford driving first responder in Florida with a TDM coupon I suppose could have gotten around $11K in rebates.

I have posted about the national rebates and regional differences a number of times, for the benefit of anyone whether they're ordering from Mark Dodge or not. We sell to all fifty states and have to be versed in how these play on a daily basis.

Here's some examples:

I'm not out to "getcha gotcha" brother I'm just showing you that an order CAN often be a better deal.
We're not the only ones, our top competitors in the sold-order world are Koons, Granger, Gupton, Ourisman (more jeep), Dave Smith (more so in the past, but still does a lot), etc.

And to further expand, there are dealers in Idaho that like you claim to be the “biggest RAM” dealers in the US. I almost bought a truck there a couple of years back because it was a short flight from Northern Ca. UNTIL I found their “Doc fees” were close to $1000 (in Ca there are set at $85 per law), they also had “out of state fees, had to buy their ad-on garbage, blah, blah, blah.

Then I wouldn’t be able to register my truck in Ca for I think it was 6 months because our state got wind that people were once upon a time buying in Oregon because they had no sales tax. All that ended. Then they were going to Idaho.

Look forward to seeing your $7000 rebate breakdown.
I think you may be referring to Dave Smith who yes at one time was the largest Ram dealer by volume, now that's us (I think the last 2-3 years or so). They still do a heck of a lot of sales. I'd never heard of Dave Smith doing required add-ons, always heard they were straight up and fair but they've gone through some ownership changes so I could be wrong.

Sales tax is charged based on where you register the vehicle, not where you purchase it - so I'm not familiar with the relationship that Oregon and CA may have carved out differently or that caused any of your previous challenges. We've sold plenty to California customers, and they only pay our $425 Doc Fee and $4 temp tags, everything else is based on their residency for tax, title, license.

Heres one example of hard to get rebates from Wake Forest RAM:
“Adjusted Price$49,129
2025 National Holiday Bonus CashDetails-$1,000
2025 National Retail Consumer CashDetails-$4,000
2025 Southeast BC Retail Bonus CashDetails-$1,000
2025 National Bonus CashDetails-$1,500
National 2025 Military Bonus CashDetails-$500
2025 Southeast BC Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief CashDetails-$750
2025 Southeast BC SFS Retail Bonus CashDetails-$1,000
2025 National SFS Lease Loyalty Bonus CashDetails-$2,000

No idea how many the average buyer could get but Military, Hurricane Helene and Southeast rebates might not be applicable to many.

Not that he’s correct (hope it is true though) but YTuber TK’s Garage predicts RAM to cut MSRP’s by up to 35% by 2nd quarter 2025…

This guy seems to have some fairly accurate sources as far as Stellantis news in the past… this would turn things around fast for them and their dealers.
Ifyou care to, look his channel up, the video is less than a day old.

I don't link videos cause 1- IDK how and 2 - I don't shill for folks. It’s just interesting how he presents the information.

Yes, Stellantis overinflated ,,MSRP’s FAR more than other manufacturers as I have mentioned in a prior post and they have started to reduce them in Canada and coming soon to a dealer near you!

Your too young to know or remember. But people often traveled to Oregon to avoid sales tax. Some of my family members did and it wasn’t based on residency back then. That’s all changed.

We’re not talking about sales tax anyway, it’s all about the “deal” - final selling price before ad-on’s and fees.

I don’t have a beef with you, so thanks for your clarification on “rebates” which was my point. Your dealer discount is “your” contribution which is obvious to all. What pisses me off is when you (and most dealers) advertise your dealer discount PLUS rebates of $$$ which most don’t qualify for. Very missleadng to the casual car buyer.

Now that the dealer and salesman-infomercial part of this segment is over my friends, I will leave you with this thought and advice in my not so humble opinion. 😊

Try your best to work with your local dealer for the very best deal. Shop out of town if you have to and have your local guy match or beat it they can and want to? If not move to the next closest dealer. You want a relationship with your local dealer when you need help, when there may be a warranty claim in question, etc. They will be far more agreeable to help a customer that bought and has serviced with them.

There are so many issues with buying out of state let alone many states away.

Good luck and happy shopping to all.

If you want to pigeon hole yourself to your local dealers go right ahead. Just please don't bring that shyt here. This is a forum for knowledge. And finding the best deal is a part of it. If it wasn't for volume dealers like MD and a few others we'd be left to BS local dealers. There's a reason why MD gets the awesome reputation they do.

When the ram charger comes out that'll be my next vehicle I buy from MD. And I'm located in Illinois.

Do you think the "local" Ram service shop takes into consideration where you bought your vehicle when performing service?

Bought my Ram from Koons and my extended warranty from Zeigler. Recently took it into my local dealer (Atlanta market) for cracked exhaust manifold and leather dash issue. The exhaust was fixed in a few days and they asked Ram for help on the dash, which they agreed to. Never came up where I bought my truck.

My local dealer who I have a relationship just said he couldn't beat the other dealers price and I should buy from the other dealer because he would to to save $$. I still go to the local guys for service and they still treat me very well. They make money and reputations on service just like sales so they want any business they can earn. Might be different in small markets but living in a metro area with a lot of CDJR dealers they are always getting folks in service who bought elsewhere.. Seems to me the only real concern they have is that I give them a perfect rating in the surveys.

My experience different. I went into the dealership at the five year mark to inquire about a required inspection for my lifetime warranty (not required) and the first question was "Did you buy the vehicle here?" I had. He said they were not taking vehicles not purchased from them. It took 4 months to get my motor replaced at another dealership and I believe it would have taken longer if I had not had a conversation with the service manager. The dealership is inundated with work.

I'm sure "service" depends on various factors.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We apologize that your experience with our Service Center was not ideal. We do not have an employee named Joyce working for our company, and we are unable to locate you in our system without your real name. We would like to investigate this further. If you purchased your new Wrangler from Ramsey Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, you are entitled to priority service appointments. If you purchased elsewhere, we would highly recommend reaching out to your dealership's service department, as they should follow the same priority appointment protocol. Please send an email to us at [email protected] with your contact info so that our Service Manager can reach out to you. Thank you.

Correct. If you order you get exactly what you want. BUT,,,, if you want the “best deal”you MUST buy from dealer inventory. There are nuances at the dealer level which are too many to mention here, however once a vehicle sits on the lot many incentives you see are for aged inventory and can be Vin# specific.

In general dealers are under pressure to move what’s sitting on the lot and don’t give two craps about an order they won’t sell for three months or so. And that’s not even a guarantee. People often order a car or truck then bail at the last moment for various reasons. The car business is a “today” business.

If you order, you almost always have zero control over discounts other than generic discounts of the week / month you’re buying in.

The truck I bought back in June had 3.92 gears which I would have never ordered and or wanted but the deal was so good I just took it. I do tow about 10 times per year and in reality the 3.21 gear would have been just fine for me.

In my humble opinion find the truck you want or as close to the features you want and secure your deal before month end. All dealers are trying to make their year in the last couple weeks of Dec.

Happy shopping.
Just to point out my personal experience...when I purchased my Ram in Nov 2021, I got a quote from Mark Dodge, went to local dealer and asked if they can get within 1500 dollars of the deal offered.

They laughed at me, told me they didn't believe the price. That dealership was getting 2500 over MSRP at the time...next dealer over wanted 3000 over MSRP.

Needless to say, Mark Dodge was able to get the truck I wanted on order, have me a deep discount even with added cost to have truck shipped to NY, I still saved over 10,000 buying from Mark Dodge vs local dealer.

I know you have messaged with Anthony from Mark Dodge already, but my story is one of many of the people on this site.

There are many many more that also bought from other volume dealers that still did better than local.

Yeah I just still don't get why you're still accusing me of posting and advertising misleading ads. I not only laid it out for you in the first response, then broke it down further, and then showed you that's what we do on a semi-monthly basis posting all the different regions. You prefer to shop on the lot, I'm sharing that orders are good too, that's fine to disagree and YMMV. But please stop accusing me of misleading when I've laid it out from the get-go, and backed it up

Janis response about some dealers giving their own sale customers priority service is accurate, my local dealer does the same.

I figured the 8K I saved will compensate me for my extra time though.

I also asked for a price match or something close to save me an 800 mile one way drive but was told they can't do that. Plus they only had a Laramie and I got a Limited.

I'd still drive to save that much.

I just bought from Anthony and the team at Mark Dodge easily the best carbuying experience I've ever had and it's not even close what others have said about Mark Dodge is accurate

Not to "pile on" however it was a very smooth over the internet buying experience from 800 miles away to include a trade that they offered $1K more than the original selling dealer did, all via pictures.
Just was a long drive, I couldn't do shipping with the trade.
I searched all up and down the east coast from Md down to Al, had heard of Mark RAM thru the forums and eventually ended up there.

Pray tell about all the issues buying it of state. I've done it many times because Florida dealers suck. Never a problem getting a vehicle serviced. They are happy to take the mfgs money.

So I stopped into my local dealer today to check on an appointment for recall stuff - decided to check in with the sales manager and ended up placing an order with a commitment to match or beat the price I got from MD even though he'll lose money on the sale. I was very honest with him and he returned the favor and said a repeat customer is worth losing a bit on the sale to keep a relationship with. So long story short there is definitely value to the local dealer relationship but I owe a debt to Anthony and Mark Dodge for helping explain the process and offering great pricing to show to local dealers to try and match. I will continue to tell others that the easiest hassle free way to get a great price is to just buy from Mark Dodge - I spent a fair amount of time getting this to all pan out and if I didn't live 1,200 miles fro Mark Dodge would order there every time.
