Too many apples to oranges comparisons, ie. negative equity rollover, dealer add-ons, F&I extras such as paint, lights, interior protection, GAP coverage, pre-paid service, extended factory warranties, financing percentages and duration of loan. Then there's that rare color/trim/model combination, parts/accessories added into the deal...
Here's an example. When I bought my 2019, there were over 15 black interior Limiteds at the dealer. There was 1 ivory.
What did the wifey want? You guessed it.
There went my negotiating power. The deal I got I had to be "happy" with cause I wanted her "happy". The % off msrp wasn't the #1 consideration.
It's getting to the point that unless a person buys "clean" with cash (and who does that), comparing most deals is tough.
Ultimately as long as "you" are happy with the deal, then life is good.
Ended up getting 15,500 off a 2025 Ram 1500 Bighorn with an MSRP of 62,985 from Anthony and the team at Mark Dodge easily the best carbuying experience I've ever had my wife didn't even have to leave the house which was nice because she works from home and can't leave during the week View attachment 193593
OTD was 49997 on the truck I added some things in F & I but there was no pressure at all i actually did not test drive the new Ram before driving it day 1 but so far I don't miss the hemi I'm averaging about 19.5 mpg mostly highway drivingNot a fan of that light grey but with the night edition it sure looks sharp.
Since they stopped the darker grey, this may be my new color.
What was the OTD price and what was the cost to register the vehicle within your state?
Also, since it was purchased remotely, were you able to test drive the newer engine locally before purchasing?
With incentives, tread lightly and true car discounts I was able to do about $16,000 under MSRP for a $90,505 Tungsten. So I’m working on a deal on a Tungsten sticker price $95,185….have them down to $82,080….still have not asked them about trade of my 2021 Limited. Told me price is only good if ordered before end of December.
Wonder if rebates will be better after the new year.
This is to order one not on the lot.
Good deal?

Build your truck on truecar.com and you'll get a printable certificate that includes a coupon code for $1,000 that you give to the dealer for a discount. What is the true car discount?

The incentives are there. Either directly to customers or thru the dealer. When you look at the same truck at 2 different dealers. One dealer is at 18k off and 1 dealer is at 10k off. I’ll guarantee the dealer at 18k off is still making money. So how much is the dealer at 10k trying to make on 1 single vehicle? Discount wise, I think the pricing problem lies squarely on the dealers shoulders. Either you want to play ball and move vehicles or let the dust build.Hopefully RAM will either lower msrps or increase incentives to get “butts in seats” now that Carlos is out… if they don't, some dealers may be out of business…
