Price negotiated from MSRP

Mark Dodge has some crazy deals right now. I picked up a new Bighorn from them today

While shopping for a 2025 Limited I found one at a Phx dealer that I liked that just came in. It wasn't ready for test drive as just unloaded and had to be processed thru service first. MSRP was 81,575 and price advertised at 62,208. Salesperson said they'd notify me when I could test drive and now they are advertising the price at 68,208! Guess I need to reach out to Mark Dodge.

Probably was too much to expect them to stay with a price $19,000 under MSRP when it just came off the truck.

Even though ram trucks aren't selling very well, they're not that hungry yet.

Hope you find the one you want at a great price!

Interesting statement. They never ironed out the problems with the hemi. I hope for everyone who buys one that Stellantis is up to the task.
Honestly, I don't think the new engines will ever get "ironed out" like the old technology.

Ford can't quite figure out their eco-boost, GM can't figure out their active cylinder displacement, and now we have the hurricane.

Toyota had issues with their V6 turbo and Nissan is about dead. I think the common element here is excessively technology filled engines as opposed to something reliable.

Technology always progresses to more and more complexity. The 4 speed automatic is now 8, 9 and 10. We won't see a move towards simplicity until "the great reset" or a massive emp/solar pulse sets everyone back to 1960's technology. Just look at Cuba, all their cars will be running!

Of course it's all EPA driven... That's the subject of other threads.

I don’t know why anyone would shop anywhere other than Mark Dodge. These guys have got it down to a science. Low margins and high volume if the best way to go for dealers and especially customers. I’m the cheapest old guy you’re ever gonna run into, and I walked away happy as a kid at Christmas. Lowest prices, fair trade values and a smooth transaction. I’m not sure what else you could ask for

Hey wait a minute! I'm a cheap old guy who bought last New Years and I was very pleased with my purchase and trade arrangements!
You swiped my story!
🤣

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We apologize that your experience with our Service Center was not ideal. We do not have an employee named Joyce working for our company, and we are unable to locate you in our system without your real name. We would like to investigate this further. If you purchased your new Wrangler from Ramsey Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, you are entitled to priority service appointments. If you purchased elsewhere, we would highly recommend reaching out to your dealership's service department, as they should follow the same priority appointment protocol. Please send an email to us at [email protected] with your contact info so that our Service Manager can reach out to you. Thank you.

Just to add to Fred's reported quality woes, this 2023 post from an F150 forum regarding poor a/c performance (with 213 replies):

"...thanks for the link! It looks like almost all those guys are powerboost. They shared a link to a TSB but it looks like it’s for 15-22 f150s and super duty’s. Hopefully they have an updated TSB for 2023 non powerboost trucks. I ordered this new truck because my 2018 with 16,000 miles on it blew up and sat 10 months waiting for an engine, then blew the top end again, blew 3 gears in the trans and had a laundry list of issues. Hopefully this new 5.0 doesn’t turn out to be a pile of crap too."

Man O Man but my local dealer continues to be out to lunch. They have been stuck in the Covid high prices loop and are just figuring out that those days are gone, duh.

Here's an example, a whopping $5K off MSRP!
Many SOCAL dealers treat MSRP like a bargain. Obviously because there are enough stupid people in the Peoples Republik who will pay MSRP...same folks that voted yes to increase the already high gas tax 😠

Anyone have an updated POC for Mark Dodge they'd be willing to share?

Saw on YT today that Stellantis has reduced 2025 invoice prices by $4K in Canada. Wonder if that will happen soon in the US?

Haven't seen anything yet - but that is the same amount that is on the national Ram rebate nationally on all trim levels except RHO. So it may be a case of the same result but a different way of getting there. For now at least.

@Jako not sure I follow the post with the Ramsey review? Tried to quote it but wouldn't work.

My Ram died on the NY Thruway and was towed to Ramsey CDJR where it was not worked on for over 3 months, went in May 28th and returned September 28th. I believe I was a low priority for the stated reason above and also do to warranty work being paid at a reduced rate.

Appreciate the clarification. Sounds like you had a particularly tough situation, and found yourself working with a particularly tough dealership. Truthfully I don't know if you purchased that truck from Mark Dodge or not. We've had very few customers have challenge getting their truck worked on elsewhere - it HAS happened but rare. People move, people shop around within their own metro area with multiple dealerships, etc. Service depts make money on doing work, they don't get a cut of commission on new car sales.

While I can understand giving a bit of priority to your local sale, to screw over a customer who happens to need help (like the OP) or who moves to another location is just wrong.
