I was in the market for a Big Horn with Level 2 equipment, rambox, LED headlights and the 9 speaker sound system but there wasn't much out there. I had a dealer looking in a 500 mile radius and there was like 3 that weren't black or flame red (didn't want either of those colors) or a bunch of extra options.
Ended up getting a low optioned Laramie that had all those options other than the rambox. If you start adding a bunch of options to the Big Horn, you might want to start looking at Laramies instead. The Laramie ends up being a better value.
Low volume dealer in my hometown discounted my $52,070 MSRP Laramie $5,500 plus $4500 in rebates. $1k of that is Chevy truck conquest and another $1k is private offer rebates. I am waiting to hear back on another $1k conquest rebate that we were waiting to for FCA to respond on eligibility. Have to redo paperwork if I do get it.
Ignoring the potential $1k rebate, the Laramie worked out to about $42k before TTL. The big horn I was looking at was $54k MSRP, $3k dealer discount and $7500 in rebates. Dealers don't discount as much when they do dealer trades. Ended up with a nicer truck for less money, other than I didn't get the rambox.
They also gave me $29,500 for my 2019 Colorado with 12k miles that I paid $30,700 for new.
