I was in the market for a Big Horn with Level 2 equipment, rambox, LED headlights and the 9 speaker sound system but there wasn't much out there. I had a dealer looking in a 500 mile radius and there was like 3 that weren't black or flame red (didn't want either of those colors) or a bunch of extra options.

Ended up getting a low optioned Laramie that had all those options other than the rambox. If you start adding a bunch of options to the Big Horn, you might want to start looking at Laramies instead. The Laramie ends up being a better value.

Low volume dealer in my hometown discounted my $52,070 MSRP Laramie $5,500 plus $4500 in rebates. $1k of that is Chevy truck conquest and another $1k is private offer rebates. I am waiting to hear back on another $1k conquest rebate that we were waiting to for FCA to respond on eligibility. Have to redo paperwork if I do get it.

Ignoring the potential $1k rebate, the Laramie worked out to about $42k before TTL. The big horn I was looking at was $54k MSRP, $3k dealer discount and $7500 in rebates. Dealers don't discount as much when they do dealer trades. Ended up with a nicer truck for less money, other than I didn't get the rambox.

They also gave me $29,500 for my 2019 Colorado with 12k miles that I paid $30,700 for new.

In a normal year it would be but this is not a normal year. Dealers are less willing to give discounts I know i just found out buying my Ram. If its the spec he wants he needs to jump on that deal.
Maybe I just came on the right day. I got 13k off my night edition bighorn a month ago. I always wait until I get to finance to force a little more out of them or at least get something for free.

Same here i got only 5k in rebates the dealer I bought from wasn't willing to give me much of a discount on the truck due to the truck being a dealer trade but they were more than willing to give me everything else i wanted (i ended up with running boards window tint upgraded tires and a lift) the total of which got me to about 23% total off of msrp

The $1k Chevy/GMC truck rebate is separate than the other Conquest truck rebate. If you have a Chevy/GMC, you get the $2k. There are $3000 rebates right now on Laramies if you finance through Chrysler Capital. So you should have that, plus $2k total conquest, plus if you have another $1k private offer.

You're correct. I forgot about the $500 for financing through Chrysler capital. My Colorado did go through fine for the Chevy/GMC rebate but FCAs rebate system was not accepting my Colorado VIN for the truck conquest rebate. The terms said something like "light duty 1500 or heavy duty 2500, 3500." They sent in a copy of my registration on Saturday afternoon for confirmation but apparently FCA doesn't staff many, if any people on Saturdays.

Update: dealer called today and I'm getting the extra $1k rebate.

Hi guys I’ve been messing around with a Laramie/limited builds through Koons. I’m getting the same type of deals mentioned here but I can’t really get an answer on the incentives I would get on delivery. i know they change so nothing is guaranteed but what have other people gotten for rebates on delivery? I currently lease a Ford F-150 but I’m not military or first responder. I can finance through Chrysler even though I have a BOA loan setup. i know everyone Is different just looking for an idea. I’m way over my head and it’s spinning trying to get a good deal. The used I’ve been finding seem to be only a few thousand less than new and those are 2019’s. Trying to get a 64k build around 52k if possible. TIA

Not sure Its possible on a built to order. I Got a 66.4k for 54.4k only because it was on hand and a demo model.
Black friday and xmas to january 2nd the deals will be best - but that depends on if they have what youre looking for stock.

I've been working with Koons too. If you ask, they will give you the price before incentives. This will be the maximum they would charge assuming no incentives were available when the truck is delivered. You will be able to get all the incentives you qualify for that are being offered on delivery. I know this doesn't help much, but compared to the other NOVA dealers I've talked to, Koons is giving the best pre-incentive price quotes. Many of the dealers either refuse to give a quote without sitting down with them or say things like "flat $1500 off MSRP + incentives available at delivery."

FWIW, I had MSRP build of $75,580 and they quoted $67,998 with a note "less any rebates at time of delivery" This was a loaded Laramie build. Hope to sit down with them on Friday and place an order.

Thanks my build is around 64k and they have me around 56k give or take either way. I was planning On buying something used around 40k with a few options used. but like everything else I keep suckering myself into getting something better. Just wish I knew if I was going to get a few thousand off on incentives or I should scale back. I know when I’m spending this much a few thousand doesn’t sound like a lot I’m already over budget

Just bought/picked up my new 2021 RAM Limited 4x4 Night Edition for a steal of a price!
It almost felt like I was robbing the dealership, but I got over that after I drove it off the lot towards the house.

Almost don’t want to disclose, as it was that large of a difference between the two. I was “walking out the door to leave” on 3 different occasions & they came running after me stating “they’ll make a deal somehow”, then the last attempt I went to leave, they said “they’d meet my demands for the price of the 2021”. The dealership ended up taking a loss on the 2021 truck I ended up buying!

I forced them to end up taking over $24K off the internet advertised sales price! I wasn’t gonna consider any other terms. The internet advertised price was already discounted down to $71,250 which was already lower than the MSRP price, not even taking into consideration all the extra dealer installed options & added fees.

So you got it for around 48k + tax, tags and fees? Would be something to post.
May help them get more transactions at that dealership if they deal like that frequently. Would also help us buyers while helping them sell.

I truly don’t think that they typically do deals like what I got.
I have been a longtime customer of this dealership & I really wasn’t looking at getting another new vehicle.
I was emailed one of those “special invitation only sales event” links that showed me an offer for a new 2020. I had no interest, but then the dealership started texting me, so I informed them I’d look at the online inventory & if I saw something that interested me I’d send it to them. I sent them the stock # & stated that if they’d provide the same type of deal or get extremely close to it for that particular stock #, I’d consider driving up there to look at it. They replied stating they’d do whatever they could to make the deal.
I went up there but wasn’t really crazy about buying the truck right off the bat. I told them what I’d consider to pay for it, they countered & I walked away. They gave chase & I haggled a little more then they came back closer to what I countered with, but I then walked out again. They gave chase once again & said “what do we have to do to make this deal”? I gave them the $ amount that I’d be willing to pay & not a dollar or a cent more, then after about 15 minutes later, it was an approved deal at the price that I stated that I would pay flat out & went directly into financing to sign the papers.
Ended up taking just over around two hours outta my day to go to the dealership and walk away. I ended up purchasing the new 2021 and it’s starting to grow on me! I’ll be making my first significant distance trip in it later today to get a real feeling/experience for driving/using the new 2021 with all the new features that they added to it.
I’ll keep updating the forum as time goes on...

So, MSRP vs. OTD price? Hit us with it. What dealership?

Got an offer to get 2020 RAM 1500 Limited Crew Cab 4x4 Diesel MSRP $75,400 for $64,000 OTD. Is this a good deal or can I do better?

I work for a supplier so I get Preferred Price, 1% bellow Invoice plus all current incentives rebates. Preferred Price on this truck is 69k.

Better deals to be had likely first problem I see is the ECODIESEL... I would avoid that! Reg hemi will suite just fine. If you are spending that much and want a diesel I would go 2500

I beg to differ. I think that's a great price.
Also, that's the Gen 3 Ecodiesel. It's improved not to mention 30 MPG.

Best deal I have seen so far if it is new. I drive around 30k miles a year. That is why I ordered the 2021 with Ecodiesel, pretty much the same configuration but Billet Silver ext, and projectably paying $70k OTD... With 5yr/100k miles power train warranty I think you should be OK.
