Price negotiated from MSRP

That’s correct MCRider, The technology group contains those 3 items. This is why I believe the 2021s are coming with the uconnect 5. The heads up display is powered by the uconnect system. It wouldn’t make any sense for FCA to have a heads up display powered by an old OS and turn right around and code it again for the android OS in less than a year. Also it’s confirmed that the new Durango is coming with Uconnect 5 and orders for that started the beginning of July.

Question.. Does everyone take out GAP insurance on these trucks when financing?.. insight please. Would cost me $295..

Guaranteed Auto Protection covers the difference between the present cash value of the vehicle vs what you owe on the loan. It's a personal decision. If you are putting 20% or more down payment on it I'd opt out. Gap insurance only covers that $ value difference between KBB and what you owe on it. Nothing else. You might want to check with your present Auto insurer to see if they offer it

Jbdan has a good point. My insurance company provides GAP as part of my vehicle insurance, so I don't need to buy from dealer. Check with your insurance company and see if they offer it and how much extra it would cost. Might be cheaper than dealership.

Good Morning, yeah the 1200 is basically tax,doc fee and govt fees. I'm trading in a car which helps offset my taxes here in PA. I felt this seemed like a good deal. Thanks!

That’s a great deal for all the equipment that comes with the truck, and especially in today’s world. Congrats!
My deal was similar, except that my 2019 Bighorn didn’t come with the bed utility group and blind spot monitoring... otherwise it has everything else yours has. $52900 MSRP, sales price was $38700 and out the door right around $41000 (Oct 2019)
 
Is there any details on what those heavy duty shocks might be?

If anyone have the "off road package" just wanted to see if their fox, bilstein, rancho shocks.

Question for all,

So while continuing my shopping around(yeah I'm taking my sweet time) I stumbled on the "off-road group" package. This package is only $795.

Is it a true comparison that this matches up closely to a rebel which is roughly $8k more.?

Just wanted to see if its worth while for some light off-road travels. Is it a big difference?

P.s. would anybody know what customer preferred package code number/letter it would be...so i can do a search? I see customer preferred package 25Z..but that is for higher trim levels that are over $50k. Definately not looking for anything that high. Thanks.

The ORP comes with a factory 1" lift, the protection group (skid plates) that normally costs $395, front/rear HD Hitachi shocks, E-locker ($545 option by itself), 4x4 offroad decals on each rear bed-side, Falken Wildpeak AT tires and hill descent control. You can only get hill descent control in the ORP not as a stand-alone option. It's a great deal for $795 but it does add weight to your truck if you're concerned about payload.

The Rebel comes with a factory that 1" lift, bilstein shocks, Goodyear Wrangler Duractrac AT tires, 3.92, skid plates, e-locker and then of course has different trim (grill ,etc.).

Keep in mind too that the ORP can be added to any trim and if you care about wheel size, the Rebel can only be had with 18" wheels whereas you get the ORP with the other trims and have 20" wheels.

Do you think I have a realistic chance at getting this down to $46k out the door? It has all the packages and features I really want. I'm thinking that dealers will be more motivated to move towards the end of year, but what are your thoughts?

Hi and welcome! (I'm new here too, but welcome anyway!)

You'll find a ton of great info regarding how much you can expect to take off MSRP, incentives, negotiation, etc in this thread. Good luck with your buying!

In this case, you've got $57020 MSRP:

Invoice can be calculated at appx 92% of MSRP. (Try building the truck on Edmunds.com; it will give you some numbers too)

(($57020 MSRP - $1695 Destination Fee) x .918%) + $1695 Destination Fee = $52,483 Appx. Invoice.

So, your dealership looks like they're ~ 1% - 2% under Invoice before rebates (pretty good). Using Appx. Invoice (not your price), subtract rebates $3000 = $49,483.35.

Add in other fees. Then multiply by Texas sales tax (6.25%) = $52,576.06, then add any non-taxable fees (registration / plate). That's your OTD price.

In order for your OTD Price of $46K: you'd need the Dealer to come down to 5% under invoice (Employee Pricing) and give $6500 in rebates.

To give you an idea of other dealerships, two site sponsors, Koons and Criswell, offer some solid deals. With your $57K MSPR, $3K incentives, and their deals, you're still looking at $48K - $49K OTD.

I'd suggest building an excel sheet with all of this programmed in. If you go to a dealer with this programed into excel / google sheets, you can do this on the fly and negotiate with the dealer.

To my knowledge, the Rebel has a 1” lift from factory. Not 2”

Ok. Just to clarify that’s a good deal if it doesn’t include your trade value as part of the discount.

I use my insurance company too. It’s way cheaper than buying through a finance department and also paying interest in it. It’s insurance, buy it from the correct people. And remove it if you aren’t upside down on loan and no longer need it.

Looking at a a 2020 Rebel with an MSRP of 60k.
What's a realistic dealer discount right now?
They're only offering a 3.5K dealer discount.

Go back and start reading this thread, maybe go back 2 months. Rebels are the least discounted. Your discount of $3.5k in general is low. But very low inventory now and dealers know it so it’s not as easy to get a good deal.

This is true, especially in California. No dealership is offering any discounts except $2K in rebates on the 2020 Rebels. The other day I called to inquire about a fully loaded 2020 Rebel with MSRP of $65,900 and the dealer said they wanted $75K. I asked what gives; they said Rebels are mark-up trucks and they wanted $10K above sticker. Unbelievable!

Plus manufacturer discounts.
I'll wait and see what August offers, and might pick it up.

Though if I can get a better deal on a Limited I might do that.
