How do you prove you own a ford truck? How do you prove you have a lease? How do you prove your a veteran?

I assume they run a carfax or something to match a vin to the registration name?

AFAIK, you have to trade in the competitor's truck, so you'd show up with it at the dealer. A lease is easy enough, they can look that up in the computer system (or you can prove it with documentation). As for veteran, show 'em your DD214.

You just bring your registration - you don’t have to trade it in.

Not sure how relevant this will be to most, but I was able to negotiate some further discounting from employee pricing on a custom order vehicle.

2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 4x4 5'7" Box

MSRP $55,520
EP Pricing $48,774
Dealer Discount -$1,500
Incentives -$4,500 (returning leasee for -$500 was the only targeted one I had)

Total before TTL $42,774 (23% off)

Ended up at $45,858 out the door including a $210 doc fee and $24 CVR fee

I had a great dealer experience as well. Going to debate a little further on color and a couple minor options this weekend, but will be back to officially place an order on Monday!

Man, which rebates did you qualify for. Everybody just puts the total without saying what exactly they qualify for. To my eye most of those rebates few of us qualify for.

So you are saying the dealership handed you 3750 cash just because is that correct. And that is okay, but is that a FCA rebate this month on that specific model?

Those are all the current rebates from the ram website for Big Horn 4x2. Is that what you are asking?(USAA different of course)

Lower trims come with bigger rebates. Right now, there's a $5,250 rebate on the Big Horn, Rebel and above are only $1,250. So, it certainly depends on the trim level when you're comparing.

That’s 24.5% off MSRP. Well done, ArmyofOne.

That’s 18.8% off MSRP which seems like a good deal to me. I got 18.2% off and I was happy. Still am. Love my truck.

Whats been the most successful strategy on negotiating these deals?
I have talked with a dealer that has offered me what I calculate as about 7% under invoice, plus available rebates when delivered. I've built a pretty loaded Limited coming in just shy of $69K on MSRP. Invoice he showed me was about $63K. After dealer discount it came down to just north of $58K (about 15% below MSRP at this point). They said current incentives would be about $4K if I don't have a different brand pickup (which I don't). I asked if I gave a sufficient downpayment, would the honor that $4k off at minimum, or if rebates are better when it arrives, honor the better. They agreed. That would give me better than 20% on a limited if my math is correct.
Thoughts? Would you just take it? Anything you can recommend that can be negotiated at this point? Also, how do you recommend I lock it up and guarantee this price? Just ask them to send me a contract?

What current incentives did you get on a Limited? There are non on the Ram websites for Limited, only Longhorn and Tradesman. The only one I was offered was NE Regional Rebate at $12,000. I am also building a LImited with MSRP at $68,020. Let's talk!

Dealer is out of state so I am communicating with him via email. He usually answers about 1/4 of the questions I ask him when he replies.
He was pushing me to pull the trigger, and I told him I was having a hard time agreeing to it and not knowing what my final price would be. I asked if I put a big chunk down, would they lock me in and honor something better if it was available at the time. He agreed. So I asked what the current rebates were. His response was "$5000.00 if you have a off brand light duty P-U now $4000 if not ." Thats literally all I've been able to get out of him. I feel like I'm annoying him every time I ask him a question. I get responses that are about that long at best. Its pretty irritating, but at the same time, they are offering a strong discount. I have asked what discounts are available, what are the current rebates with truck month, etc. Never get a straight answer. Its usually "what I quoted you is the best we can do", or the answer above ^^. I work in sales for a living, so maybe this stuff just irritates me more than the average Joe, but if this guy would just be responsive, answer my questions, and have a little understanding of customer service I would have likely ordered a while ago.

What dealer and who! I would do an internet build also if he comes in that good. I am looking to build a Limted MSPR $68020 / Invoice $62,188 / REbate $1,200 NE Regional only seen on Limited). Not too happy with it, and emailing other dealers in my area to offer them to beat it. But your guys seems better.

I have a '13 Chevy Avalanche Limited Black Diamond perfect condition with KBB of $24,0 one offered $26,000 depending on shape when trade in for build which would be in 2-3 months. Afraid at that time, they would be like, nah, it's only worth $20,000 and then what do I do.

Huh? I know some of them are regional, but Website is showing me $1,250 cash incentive on Limited. Along with 0% APR for 36.

how did you get 10 in incentives ?

He got a great deal. I'm thinking he's combining incentives with a dealer discount (since he didn't list an additional dealer discount other than his $41). I'm more interested in his red sticker year end sale discount. As far as I'm aware, this is nobody's year end. Unless he got it two months ago and is just coming to tell us about it now?

Either way, great deal. Love to see some pics of @ArmyofOne truck when they get the time. Laramie sports are purtie.
