Tried this swap from my 4th gen. The tow mirrors from the 4th gen will not work. Completely different mounting set up.

The 5th gen will work on 4th gen but you need tow mirrors from 2500 not the 1500 and switch the wire pins just use mopar connector site to do a pin reference

... it's messed up.... Probably the worst feature of the new Ram 1500. It would be easier to trade in your truck. Adding the towing group removes the 360 surround view, and the power fold mirrors. This should never be. The cameras for the surround view should be in the arm not under the mirror housing, and all mirrors should power fold on a full size truck nowadays.

Well , three years later I traded my 2019 limited for a 22 night edition Limited with the trailer steering and tow package. Now, I have tow mirrors with 360 cameras in the arm that power fold. See, RAM listens...lol
