That 6200 GVWR is not correct for the 5th gens. We have seen several door stickers for trucks with 22” wheels with a 7100 rating.
Good to hear, I am not sure where dustydodge got that chart from.. hopefully it was 4th gen like DevilDodge mentioned..

Rustydodge where did you get this from?

Looks like going with the 22" wheels drops your GCVR to 6200lbs. Can you guys confirm?

I snipped it from the bottom of the 2017 towing/payload charts on rambodybuilder.com so yes, 4th gen. It was to show how Ram states to calculate payload, and how the tow rating includes the 300 lbs, not payload, which should be similar for the 5th gens since they've been using J2807 for a while.

Yup the lower GVWR for 22" rims would have been the 4th gen RT trucks (i think regular cab only). Does not apply to the new 5th gen limiteds with 22s.

I don't have a pic but I looked last night. My Payload is 1451. I have a build date of 8-18 Laramie with the following:

Laramie Crew Cab 5'7" 4x4
eTorque
3.21 rear end
Pano Roof
Bucket seats
lvl 2 w/ 12" screen
pwr running boards
20" wheels
BUG

Overall a pretty loaded up truck, I was surprised my payload was over 1,400, i was expecting like 1,200-1,300lbs

The loaded up 4th gen laramie with 3.92, sunroof, ramboxes, front bench seat i just picked up has a payload sticker of 1,072. Doesn't concern me too much. I know the differences b/w my previous 3rd gen and now my new 4th gen. Its better/improved in every way, just a little fatter and little softer stock rear suspension . Plan to use it the same as my 3rd gen so will push over GVWR from time to time.
