So, I am assuming you weighed your truck? Some of the recent payloads of over 1800 really are good. That means with the family and most of the supplies...would have a half ton left over. Almost the amount I want...probably what i need for now.

But, I just have to wait to see that 4.5 Gen HD.;)

Regarding actual truck weight vs the payload sticker weights:

I finally weighed my Bighorn today.
Sticker says 1597 payload, so unloaded truck weight should be 5503
Weighed my truck... full tank of gas, no driver no cargo, weighed in at 5510

Pretty close I’d say. If mine is any indication, we can trust the payload stickers.

Thanks for the info. Hope that works out to be enough for you.

Ok I put together a spreadsheet with all the payload and option info we have on Limited trim/4x4/5'7". Based on the spreadsheet the following numbers work exactly for all the trucks so far (except ryelinek). These are still a work in progress so there will be more refinement.

Here's the weight of the most common options (as near as I can tell till we get more data):

Limited trim - 166lbs
Bed utility group - 25
Level 1 - 86
Advanced safety group - 50
Sunroof - 70
Anti spin - 16
eLocker - 16
3.92 Axle ratio - 0
eTorque - 80
Brake controller - 0 (not full tow package)
Body colored bumpers - 0
22" wheels - 0 (vs 20" standard wheels)
33 gallon fuel tank - 73
Offroad Group - 119 (minus eLocker)
Ramboxes - 163

To test this, start with the payload listed in the towing chart for the 4x4/Crew Cab/Hemi/5'7" bed configuration (1800lbs). Then subtract the weight of each option to get to the number on your payload sticker.

If you have a Limited/4x4/5’7” and get a different payload number let me know what your payload sticker says and a full list of your factory options and I can try to refine the numbers.

This is a great thread and has been super helpful in my build. By any chance does anyone know the weight different between the Level 1 and Level 2 equipment groups on the Laramie?

Thanks i ordered it that way by checking with a Tradesman a the dealer with a similar payload so i can tow a fifth wheel so with my truck weight 5033 so gcwr 7100 - 5033 = 2067 of real payload
What brand / model fifth wheel will you be towing, and what weight? My truck is very similar to yours, I also ordered it to pull a fifth wheel, Escape 5.0TA. Have you found any manufacturer has come out with truck-specific hitch rail mounting brackets for the 2019 Ram yet?

Last time I checked Curt and Reese had hitch rail kits only for the 2019 Ram Classic, not the new body style - be careful if you are ordering. Etrailer has been showing the Curt rail kits for 2019 Ram but they are the same kit as the 2015-2018 if you look at the part number. The new body style will require a whole new mounting bracket, last I checked with Curt they didn't yet have an ETA.

I am retiring a 1999 Sportsment fifth wheel, gave us many years of good service and finally wore out. The 98 Ram is still going strong, but the new 2019 Ram will tow much better. St Mary hillside campsite.JPG

Big Horn level 2 regular front seats 5,7 no e-tork, 4x4, 3.92 diff with e-locker, air suspension witch is 70 pounds lighter then steel springs ,no side steps no sun roof, no bed spread, so GCWR 7100 - TRUCK WEIGHT 5033 = 2066.40 of payload
