Order Tracking

So I am tracking using MOTS now... pretty nifty service over there at jeepgarage.

My truck was offloaded from the railcar last Wednesday and still no sign of delivery to dealer. Home stretch, but this has been a long week!

Any opinions or experience on delivery times from train yard to dealer in a smallish town? Seems like it's usually 2 or 3 days from the delivered units on MOTS.

Edited to add my MOTS info-

Mine has been in Transit for a week now, and I'm told by the dealer and FCA Canada that there's no way to track this.

Any day now...

Oh I see. I've paid for it and sent my info. Hopefully will get more information soon. Thank you!

I think you may get your truck soon

Now, Alacombe, you get to tell him how to track a truck, because I have no clue ;)

I don't think I will, and I'm actually pissed.

My dealership has been giving me a song and dance about how it's in transit and there's no way to find out where the truck is, but "aaaaany day now!!!" Through this thread I found out about Moore Shipping, who told me about Cassens who is actually shipping my truck. They not only were able to inform me that the truck was in Michigan still, but also confirmed the destination and that there was no ETA for when it was going to be shipped, as they had no idea about how long it would take to get a full shipment queued to where I live.

Here's an excerpt of what I've told them: "when I order a $20 toothbrush from Amazon, I get a push notification on my phone if the delivery guy even so much as picks his nose, why can't you do the same with an $75k+ truck? Besides, I don't represent a dealership, I'm just a John Doe, and with a google search and literally two calls I was able to get more information in 10 minutes than you've given me already. I'm not impressed right now."

Not sure if I'm being too demanding here or not, but there you go.

You can also go to Cassen's website and enter your VIN to find out info about your truck. Your dealership is full of BS because they can do all this for you too. They get the same or some what same info MOTS has too.

That was the first thing I tried, but I hit a brick wall as their tracking needs a dealer number too. I managed to get more information over the phone.

Your dealer number is on your POC or just call your dealer and they can give it to you too

How do we know which trucking company a dealer or region uses? I am in MN and am curious if anyone knows.
