I ordered a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie on 30 April 2018. According to the dealer the actual build was scheduled for 25 May (26 days). On or about 6 June I was informed that the disposition was “KZ,” meaning it was built but “not shipped.” After obtaining a VON and VIN, I called Ram and was told on 8 July that the vehicle was code “JS” and on hold for a rail car, but that it would arrive in Buffalo, NY by 17 July. Since Buffalo is the unloading point for rail car deliveries to Rochester, NY, I assume there are some days before the rail car is unloaded and a car carrier gets it to my dealer. It’s now been 7 weeks from build and 10 weeks from order placement. Judging from the comments in here, does this seem reasonable? My concern is I worked my trade into this deal and I’m accumulating miles since my 2014 Ram is the only vehicle I own, and I’m afraid the dealer is going to hold me up on the mileage. I see mention of a code D1. What does D1, KZ, and JS mean? Appreciate any helpful comments.

Just got THE CALL. My second ordered truck is in! E-torque Longhorn. They are prepping it now, gonna go see it in a couple hours . Holy cow, it came in before my first order. This truck was 32 days from order to delivery. I”ll get some pics and let you guys no asap. Have animals goin to fair today and a semi-state baseball game about an hour away this afternoon so busy day. Super excited!:love::cool::)(y):giggle:

Also on this truck I did not get the off road group, I wanted it but at the time of order I could not opt the standard Hemi or the off road group. I know there are other threads discussing the shortage of parts for the off road group at that time. This truck is a 6’4” box so no Rambox. My only guess to the quick build is it is one of the first e-torques without Rambox and the off road group so they were able to build it quick and get it out? Not sure if the off road group is up and moving again or not. Since I don’t have the off road group, I plan on putting a small lift and different wheels and tires on her fairly quick anyway. This one is also a two tone patriot blue. Can’t wait to see it! I will let you guys now when I can. Like I said before, busy day today. May be tomorrow before I can add any other info.

Ok, I have a few minutes here before ball game;), I got to drive it obviously and view other things but had no time for paperwork, exc. Unfortunately, my salesman is off on Monday and will wait till Tuesday afternoon to hopefully bring it home. That is ok though, just glad to drive it and know it is here! As far as the drive, I would completely agree with SpeedyV’s review. This truck has the 3:92 axle ratio and was obviously quicker off the line than the standard Hemi with 3:21’s, but maybe not as much as I thought it would be? I would say it is not any quicker off the line than my 3.5 eco-boost expedition with 3:73’s but take that lightly, my wife and I will run them side by side when I get it home! However, was not disappointed in the overall performance at all. Very nice truck, unfortunately as mentioned before, didn’t have a lot of time. When I get it next week, I will be needing to tow my trailer so I will let you know how it does and be able to go into more detail about other things as well. Here’s some pics.

Just picked mine up today and it's well worth the wait. This is the elusive Black Forest Green. Great color in person but hard to find so I took a chance and it paid off.

For those who are considering Black / Lt Mountain Brown.
Looks great! Hey Alow, I see you kept the bucket seat in front like I did... where is your 115v outlet in the front? Might you have time to upload a pic of the front and back usb/power connection areas?

That's subtle, but sharp...almost black with green highlights in the sunlight.

Thanks, that's exactly it. In anything but direct sunlight it's black but it's green up close or in bright light.

NICE!! I have yet to see that color even on forums. That looks fantastic. My Steel looks like it behaves a little like yours, near black at first glance, but when the sun hits it, wow. Happy you found one and jumped on it! I will double check Rams website but I found it a little weird how few photos they have of the trucks and colors available in their gallery.

Thanks I like the max steel as well, they have some really cool colors. I remember the dealer asking if I'd like steel and I said no but when I saw it I added it to the possibles.

Made the mistake of driving by my dealer today - it's painful to walk down rows of new Rams when yours is sitting in Michigan waiting on a train...

I just picked up my Truck. I attached a picture with my daughter who is starting college at UofA next year, I love this truck. Worth the wait.

That thing is beautiful. The wait would kill me waiting to pick it up. I've noticed a trend of people with recent orders getting their trucks quickly while people that ordered early are still waiting. Definitely odd that your second order showed up before the first but thats good news.

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if there is any actual validity to that line of thought.... Kind of like addressing a buildup of paperwork on your desk.--The pile keeps growing and the stuff closest to the top gets worked on first...
