Anyone google their VIN and have it show up at another dealer? I googled mine that is far enough along it has a window sticker and oddly enough the only result was at my local dealer (not where I ordered it).

Probably your dealer had the other dealer order it, then did a dealer exchange. why? idk.

Estimated delivery 1/25-2/8; this has been pushed furhter at least once.
Almost 5 months... I'm not sure what accounts for such varying times to delivery (congrats on those of you getting your trucks in 8-12 weeks) and why I'm getting the runaround here.

Where are you getting you order updates? I ordered mine at end of October and basically my sales person doesn’t know a thing, but I just heard that I have recent been assigned VIN number. I emailed RAM and they said to contact my salesperson! Any other sources for the build status update? Thanks

How is everyone getting this information? My dealer just told me this:

"Yes the order was placed last week. I do not have a build date at this point. There's no tracking info for the customer, unfortunately....feel free to reach out whenever and I'll update you once I have a build date. Typically it is an 8 week turnaround but w Covid things can change if plants shutdown for a few days, etc."

If I can get the VIN can I search it somewhere else, or do I have to just bug the dealer constantly. I also saw in the first few posts someone mentioned chatting with Ram online for updates?

Equipment Listing Build Sheet made Available today (1/15/21). Ram Care says no estimated ship but my dealer says Tuesday (1/19/21). Usually only takes a day or so from build to be shipped and arrive at my dealer.

Near Cleveland, OH. They transport it by truck from Sterling Heights, MI. I've seen builds take place on 1 day (on the window sticker) and by the next day, it's already on the lot ready to be sold at my dealer. I ordered mine on the 23rd of November, so less than 2 mo isn't that bad. I've see some people get 21's at around 3 weeks from Order Placed to Purchase. Others are waiting over 5 mo from order placed and still haven't received it.

I've seen builds take place on 1 day (on the window sticker) and by the next day, it's already on the lot ready to be sold at my dealer. I ordered mine on the 23rd of November, so less than 2 mo isn't that bad. I've see some people get 21's at around 3 weeks from Order Placed to Purchase. Others are waiting over 5 mo from order placed and still haven't received it.

Yeah I know my dealer uses Cassens Tracking, so I can see when it's at least shipped, (https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/cassens-tracking.1212/). My dealer told me 4-6 weeks. If I get it next week, it will be 8 weeks.

I'm screwed if this damn thing takes that long. I ordered it here in Idaho, but I work during the spring and summer in CO, and I ordered this thing exactly because I NEED it for work. If it takes 5 flipping months, I'm screwed. Dealership better give me back my 1,000 dollar deposit if I get hosed.

I ordered my Laramie on Dec. 3rd and got the VIN on Friday, December 4th.......no movement in Ram Chat until Thursday, 1/14 when it showed up in paint on the assembly line.....then sent to accessories for step rails & spray bed liner on Friday, 1/15. Today, Saturday, December 16th, it was released by the factory and sent to shipping. I always heard that it only takes a couple of days for the actual build take place and this seems to verify that. Now the wait for delivery.

Dealer says they plan to pick it up late next week. Hoping that means I can take delivery on 23 January.

For newer folks, my experience is lining up to say that the dealership has a better sense of where things stand than Ram Chat do. They had given me an 8-12 week window, a bit of extra due to the holidays. If it comes together, it'll be 8 weeks. I was somewhat hesitant to pester the dealer as often I was Ram Chat, though.

Went to the dealer to work the financing today, as they expect to receive my truck this week. I got twice the incentives I expected, including combining the December pop-up bonus cash with the Tread Lightly FFP. It was a relatively painless experience; custom order certainly has beat trying to find what I want on dealer lots.

Granted, I still need to take delivery, and the vehicle has to turn out right, but the build sheet and window sticker look correct.

As a recap, I placed order on 11/21/20, received VON that day and VIN about a week later. Things were a bit slow over the holidays, stuck in a status of "all parts received, ready to schedule build" for 3 weeks or so, then suddenly built and ready to ship. Assuming I take delivery this week, it'll be 8 weeks, when projection was 8-12. Dealer information has been good.

Yeah I ordered mine on the 23rd of Nov, similar timeline all around for yours. I have the Pop-Up Cash saved, but what exactly is the Tread Lightly stuff.
