Woo hoo, KZ already! Seems quick based on most others here, but Ram Chat says it moved to KZ yesterday, however no ETA available yet.

Ordered & VON: 1/31
VIN: 2/1
D: 2/3
D1: 2/11
KZ: 2/20
Add your truck specifics to your signature, and congrats on the truck moving along.

Try to order a Laramie trim, dealer told me offroad group and sunroof is not available at this moment.

Just checked on mine, still D. 63 days since VON!

She wouldn't/couldn't say what was the holdup.
That totally sucks! RAM needs to get their act together! I ordered mine on 01/07/2019 and it was built on 02/12/2019. Granted, I still don't have the vehicle. Granted I still don't know when I will have the vehicle. But the major hurdle of having it built is over, and now I am just waiting on shipping. You can see in my signature line, that our trucks are not all that different in options ordered. Unreal!

Just got an update from my dealer...still sitting in the rail yard in Texas, still no ETA..."should be here any day, or WEEK"

Thanks, that narrowed it down.

I ordered on 2/1 so I'm a day behind you.
Looked today and saw that I was able to generate my window sticker so got onto Ram Chat and found out mine is now in "KZ T - Second rail departure". No idea what that means as far as timing to my dealership, but apparently that is where it's headed to.

Nice, I just pulled my build sheet and window sticker too. Everything looks good, sticker shows build date of 2/19.

Just got update from the online chat. "Thank you. I can see that all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process very soon." Does that mean I'm in D?

It would sure be interesting to see if the level of truck you bought has anything to do with how long it takes. I am amazed by people that have there truck built in two to three weeks, and even some delivered. Do you think they had already randomly built one that fit the order? Do some dealers or areas of the country get priority. Is shipping more difficult to some places. Given what they want to charge for shipping it should be over night delivery.

I think that means D1. But next time you can ask them to tell you the actual status code

RAM does not process orders " first in, first out". If you order a fairly common build, you will get it quicker. When you order more options and variations, they will get wait until they have all the parts ready for yours, and I believe similar vehicles. Also, once they are built, they will wait until they get enough to fill a rail car before they ship.

I ordered my Limited on 12/28. I added the Hemi eTorque, Rambox /w Bed Utility Group and bed step. All things that are known to slow down production. Heck, there was a period of time last summer when they stopped installing the bed step all together. Not sure if it was an inventory or an engineering issue. My truck was built almost two weeks ago but spent all last week at the body vendor, where I am told they add things like the bed liner, bed step, etc are installed. It has been in storage all this week waiting for enough to fill a rail car.

So, I am HOPING it will be here by next weekend, but not holding my breath.

Something seems a little odd with my truck status codes. Maybe someone has some insight. Per Ram Chat, on 2/18, my truck was JB. On 2/19 it moved to KZ, and my window sticker was not available. On 2/20 still in KZ and the Window Sticker is now available and showing a build date of 2/18. Today, 2/21, Ram Chat tells me my truck is in KZX and was delivered to the dealership this afternoon. Dealership is closed at this hour, I will call in the morning, but I cannot imagine being in JB at the factory in Michigan three days ago, and my truck being at the dealership in Tennessee today. Thoughts?

Not sure what you are seeing as odd. Sounds like once it got done with the body vendor, there was already enough to fill a box car and ship. I mean, someone's truck has to be the last one to go on the box car....

Not sure where in TN you are are, but Warren, MI to Nashville is only about 550 miles due south. That could travel that distance in 8 - 10 hours.

Built on 2/18, in Michigan, traveled through the lots to the train, to the offload in Nashville then trucked to East Tennessee dealership that quickly? One other piece of info., the dealership called me early this afternoon and said the truck was built but they didn't have a ship date. I hope Ram Chat is correct. I'm almost 90 days in from original order. Seems odd to me considering the shipping lag that others are discussing.

Correction. The 1500 Classics (DS) are built in Warren. The all new 2019 (DT) is built a few miles away in Sterling Heights. but basically same travel distance.

That is still three days to travel. It could have gone to the rail yard on the 19th, traveled to TN on the 20th and taken today your dealer today, the 21st. Sounds very plausible to me.

Thank you for the vote of confidence. I certainly hope you're right. Very encouraging. Thanks.
