I didn’t request the cover. But it has a cover. At first I thought it wasn’t my truck. But a cup in the center console that my daughter made me with her name on it and some junk mail in the front seat were still there so I know it’s mine. So I’m not gonna nitpick that. The tint I mentioned was something they were doing and somehow didn’t seem to mess that one up. As far as the radio. He mumbled something about programming and flashing the software having some relations to the software that runs the mirrors. I’m not sure about this one at all either. I am also a little confused. But was unable to get an answer.
They put on a cover that you never requested? Why on earth would they do that?
I may be entering into conspiracy territory here, but let's look at some facts:
1. The truck you saw has a cover, and there is no rational reason why any dealer would just put one on, at their expense, completely unrequested. You may not have even wanted that cover at all. At the very least they would have said something to the effect of, "we are sorry for your issues, can we give you a free cover to make things right?", but nobody would just go and do it without any confirmation it was even wanted.
2. The truck was conveniently sandwiched between multiple vehicles so it was unmovable.
3. The key fobs don't work. Most likely the battery was disconnected, probably deliberately.
4. The few items in the front seat could have easily been moved from your vehicle.
Unless you verified the VIN on the front was the VIN for your truck, or you tried to open the doors with your fob key I'd be skeptical this was your truck at all.
This is completely crazy. Obviously we don't know the truth of what is going on here but something is definitely NOT right.
